Hi guys !

Firstly, sorry for my English because I'm french Grin.
I have a little question for you. I like to mine with my PC on Nicehash. But currently the profitability of equihash, the algorithm I mined is pretty low. I would like to mine DaggerHashimoto but little problem... Angry Indeed when I benchmark I get 19 MH/s for a 970 without overclock or something, just basically. When the mining begin I am at 3 MH/s  Grin Grin. Moreover Nicehash thinks it's profitable... And strangely my card temperature does not go to high (50°C) So I think that something is blocking the miner... Because I remember that maybe 2 months ago I mined DaggerHashimoto I benchmarked at 19 and I mined at 19 x) So I do not really understand what is happening...
Sorry if this topic already exists, I did not find him !
I hope you will be able to answer me and I wish you a good day !

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Alexandre, by 970 you mean the GEFORCE GTX970? That is an old GPU and not good for daggerhashimoto (ethash). To mine ethash you should have a RX570/580. But even with that and a modified GPU at the moment you can achieve only about 1 USD per day for 1 card.... On any other algorithm like cryptonight or equihash it will be even less. particularly with one GTX970.

Even a dollar a day per piece is also hard nowadays, the projections of the hash rate per day is too small and if you are in the place where
electricity bill is really huge, better not to mine for the meantime or if you are doing this for future goal better to reassess your mining hash
before proceeding, its too difficult to earned you have to take the risk if you believe and you can wait till the coin value will go up.

I have one rig with 13 RX580 cards. 402 mh/s at electricity costs of 0.07 USD per kwh. Profitability on daggerhashimoto (ethash) as per today is 14 usd. Not great but gives me around USD 420 per month.

Hello!
First, thank you for all your answers.
Currently, I'm mining the equihash algorithm on Nicehash. I know it's not profitable for now and even daggerhashimoto isn't profitable for me.
But the problem is that i mined for 0.0005 some months ago when it was profitable and i need 0.0005 to be payed Grin. So I would like to earn
those 0.0005 bitcoin as soon as possible and with the best possible efficiency.

Yes my card is a GEFORCE GTX970, I know it's an old card, that's why i was using it for mining. I'm not doing it to be the most profitable but to learn things.

The real problem comes from Nicehash. As I said, on all the algorithm except Dagger, my card is doing what it should do (benchmark=real hasrate). But with Ethash I benchmark myself through
Nicehash at 19 MH/s and when it turned on, 3 MH/s  Undecided Undecided. Moreover my card seems to do not suffer, it is not doing much calcul beaucse the heat doesn't go up.
Whereas 3 months ago maybe when I mined dagger I was at 19 MH/s as the benchmark said.
Can it come from Nicehash ? Or it is my card ? I read some months ago that because of the development of ethash blockchain, the graphic card RAM will increase (to load the blockchain) and that it will cross the 4 GB level. Did it already happened ?

This afternoon, i'll mine with claymore to see if my hashrate is of 3 or 19 on ethash.

Thank you again.
Have a good day.

Alexandre
