Hi everyone.  BitPonzi.net is looking to expand and we're looking for the following:
> [10 BTC reward] [20 BTC reward!] Web developers; need CSS, jQuery, AJAX experience.
BitPonzi.net wants a functional CSS/JS implementation of their site: http://bitponzi.net.  The reward for this is 10 bitcoins.  You will have access to the existing SOAP API: http://bitponzi.net/API/API.asmx.  We expect delivery in at most a week.  You don't have to make it pretty, just make it work.
> [2 BTC reward per site] Graphics designers.
BitPonzi.net will soon be creating some localized sites for international gamblers.  We want (preferably foreign) graphics designers to design the BitPonzi.net satellite site for their own country.
>> [1 BTC bonus!] Translations.
If you can also provide a translation of the entire site and the rules (http://bitponzi.net/Rules.aspx) we will offer you an additional bitcoin.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I'd like to add that the API has 3 versions. SOAP 1.1, 1.2, and HTTP POST

HTTP POST will probably be the easiest to work with in JS, you send data as x-form-urlencoded and receive it back as a simple XML document without all the SOAP data.

Scroll down to the very bottom to see the example.

I'd consider translating the site into Swedish. How many strings are there exactly, and are there any strings that are placed in size-sensitive positions (fixed-width buttons, etc.)?

Edit: Sorry, didn't notice this was only for people already hired for another postition. Pardon me!

There are quite a few strings, but they're all text-- no images except for the title  image.

Bump.  We already have a Spanish translation done and the translator is now working on a design for the site.

I'll do the Swedish translation if you're fine with that being my only task. The way you structured the original post implies the translator needs to work on another part as well.

Oh, I'm fine with you doing only the translation.  It's just that preferably the graphics designer and translator are the same person so that we can make sure that, for example, the graphics designer didn't put in some UI element that the translator didn't translate.

Great! You can send me the strings if you'd like me to translate them.

I will look into making a simple JS client for the API this weekend. Remember that javascript restricts cross domain requests, so it will have to reside on your server (well, under the same domain, but that's likely to be the same thing in this case) in order to work.

(For dev, I'll write a quick proxy that will redirect local requests back to your server, so you don't need to give me access for development)

Sounds good.
