How did the order go? When do you think we can expect to receive our orders? Thanks for setting this group buy up Grin

Gridseed is getting the payment monday they have told me that my courrier will receive the miners within 48 hours of receiving the payment. From my courrier to me it should take another 2-3 days with fedex express mail.

Thanks for your work!

So it sounds like Thurs or Fri you should be expecting them barring any customs issues.  This is my first ASIC group buy so I'm not familiar with how US customs handles these large orders.  Is this large enough an order to possibly require an extra delay in inspection?
And once you receive them is it as easy as relabeling and having Fedex pick them up?

Thus, assuming the fourth law of thermodynamics is incorrect, you would re-ship next-Friday/following-Monday so we should expect ours from you the following Tuesday or Wednesday?

As long as no customs issues arises this is correct I normally go with DHL but this time around i'll be using fedex express mail and its going to be quite a few boxes as their is only 20 gridseeds per package so I am not sure if this will cause any issues with customs but I don't believe it will. Its just repackaging and re-distributing after they arrive.

Any word about whether Cablez will be able to supply the cables to you in time?
From the thread you linked to in post 1 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=74397.300), it looks like they have been inundated with requests.

I contacted him and he is having issues with a specific part to do mass production for them as soon as they are available I'll be ordering them I am also looking into replacing the wiibox controller with an raspberry pi as I have heard they offer more stability and also confirmed that mineforeman is working on a minepeon version to support gridseeds.

I was planning to basically throw the wiibox into the junk pile and use my Raspberry Pi as a controller.... If I get a free Raspi with my order that would be fantastic.

I still haven't seen an answer - I just need a yes or no - Will these Gridseed units come with some kind of connector for wiring up their barrel connector to power? Or is that something I should be sourcing right now? My understanding is the ATX leads are an extra - they'll cost money anyways, and not everyone will be using an ATX powersupply with their gridseeds.

No. Source your own 2.1mmx5.5mm plug. 23 gauge wire or better for LTC only. 15 gauge wire or better for BTC or combined.

Correct I can mass order barrel plugs if you want but all I was offering was single power supplies mini usb cable and wii boxes in this group buy.

If others could also use them I'd be happy to buy plugs through you, Maidak. I can get 'em for about 30c each, but I have to buy 100 pcs. :/
From what I've read, 2.1mm x 5.5mm will work, though the correct (and less common) size is 2.5mm x 5.5mm. Here's the two sources I've found:

Probably about a buck each after shipping via Amazon.

The right size, for probably about 30c each, but I have to buy 100 via eBay.

Show me a link for a bulk order at a reasonable price and i'll order them up and include it free in every package for people who didnt buy single unit power supplies that I offered.

My searching suggests the 100pk @ eBay is about as good a deal as you're going to get. If there are better sources, I don't know what they are.
There's a bunch of suppliers on Alibaba, but every listing I click on that says "2.5mm x 5.5mm" ends up stating "2.1mm x 5.5mm" in the details....

I'll look into this and punch some numbers to see if I can offer em which I should be able to but i'm cutting it really close already as it is with the 199 promo.
