Devery is launching its first hackathon this October in conjunction with the release of DeveryJS. DeveryJS is an open-source JavaScript framework for utilising the Devery protocol.
DeveryJS was built to reduce the complexity developers face when building innovative applications utilising the protocol. It aims to cut down the amount of time spent on blockchain development, and also to reduce errors that might appear when developing with the blockchain. The team has decided to open source this tool, in line with the ethos of the team but also because we believe there is a community out there that will be able to utilise this tool to make something innovative and useful. We will release DeveryJS at the launch of the hackathon.
The October hackathon will launch on 2nd of October and last 2 weeks for submissions. This event will be held online, thus allowing anyone anywhere to participate. We encourage individuals and groups to participate, with a group size of 1–5 individuals being ideal. The winners will be judged by submission, and hence groups will have to share the prize money.
First prize:
US $3000 in cash + goodies
Second prize:
US $1500 in cash + goodies
Third prize:
US $800 in cash
