Believing that the dev is long gone and believing he'd ever return to release an update might have lost interest or has bigger projects to attend to and believe it was high time long time ago he did, yup everyone who's interested on GRW will need to update since already the network is stalled by the previous client , no mining , no sending or receiving , no confirmation of blocks , we've done some code updates to prevent negative Retargets in the future as per suggested almightyruler , he is credited for the same as well as getting mining fixed temporarily earlier and suggested and also predicted that the network will stall again if a proper update is not released as well as adopted.
New Wallet (Updated to version 1.2.1) *Checkpoints Added *Negative Retarget Fixed (courtesy of almightyruler) *version Updates Posted *Community Backed Development Announced
So all in all everyone who has GRW or is interested in the crypto , traders and everyone who has GRW on their wallets who were unable to anything before and wants to trade now will need to update.
Just a little thing that a lot of people forget to add in the source code and in the completed compiled wallet-qt, is the version number (1.2.1) AND maybe the date when you go to the help -> about / help -> debug window -> Information tab. It says version 1.0.0.0 now. Also if you look in at properties for the file in windows it's missing. Most devs miss this entirely, so it's quite common. Just wanted to suggest that.

Thank you very much for pointing that out mate , I realized this after I compiled it all lol so it was too late but when peers connect it can be seen the real client version one is using (getpeerinfo command) also another thing to identify the new client is with the About page where I add an extra line 2014 Copyrights to Bitcointalk Community Developers. All the very best and cheers! Soopy PS: Btw have you tried sending coins to coinex?

I emailed coinex.pw so that they can update to the new client. They are still running the old client, tried to deposit some GRW and it doesn't show up on my balance.
PoS mining seems to be working well.

It creates such a warming feeling that I cannot stay on that room! With the climate I'm in!

All I am getting are orphans, no matter what. Let me run me miner! 1 sec bro. Confirmed got an Orphan too myself , there's 8+ MH/s on the Network , threw myself aroun 2.5 MH/s and it took around 10 Blocks to get 1 and to find out it was an orphan too. :S I believe since it's minting POS blocks phase it should be done in a few days and resume to mint POW and the network will return to normal , keep your client open and you can see the stakes generated. I will release an update within the next 2 weeks. Cheers! Soopy Update : Got a Block Finally lol. Status: 4/unconfirmed, broadcast through 2 nodes Date: 2/21/2014 23:07 Source: Generated Credit: 50.00 GRW (matures in 46 more blocks) Net amount: 0.00 GRW Transaction ID: eb30e9c1f790904b3e73012c40b4279c9ddfa13a0b5fd3f1fb6af03ca509a4a0

I got that too, but after a few blocks it turns to unconfirmed / orphans.
