Good day,

I'm interested about the Blackcoin, and i will additionally to my eMark FullNode a Blackcoin Fullnode on my Raspberry Pi, but i have problems with the compiling...

I'm so doing:

Quote
sudo apt-get install qt4-dev-tools libboost-dev libboost-thread-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-system-dev libdb++-dev libminiupnpc-dev libssl-dev

git clone https://github.com/rat4/blackcoin

cd blackcoin

qmake

make

Start the bc wallet with:

./blackcoin-qt

But thats not right? At evening i can post the erros, everyone have a Howto?

regards

depends on a system you are using on that

this distribution delivers blackcoin on Raspberry Pi
http://rokos.space/

and I will create a java port which runs on android using fork of bitcoinj(https://bitcoinj.github.io/) and bitcoin-wallet(https://github.com/bitcoin-wallet/bitcoin-wallet)
I succeed in creating my first stake block already https://chainz.cryptoid.info/blk/block.dws?1181828.htm
with blackcoinj(https://github.com/janko33bd/bitcoinj/tree/blackcoinjPOS3)

funny thing is bitcoin-wallet ui reacts when you create a staking block and registers that it received an transaction even the balance is bigger,
not much left to do ;P

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Almost 60K BLK in the pocket again
I'm ready for it  Cool Cool Cool
I'm holding also. Wink

Markets are never rational.  Could be years before we see the rally blackcoin deserves.  The blackcoin blockchain is like none other.  Energy efficient, secure, fast, and scalable.  But until the consumer see the benefits the price could be flat.
I'm optimistic, folks will soon realise that they wasting time on new coins and ico, ipo never ending projects, pumper groups and scams..It is just a matter of time. With little more interest for this coin we could saw miracle, and dev taem could be revived also..

You can rent this space

I’ve made a comparison of the number of active nodes relative to market capitalization for some popular, Bitcoin-descendant cryptocurrencies. BlackCoin is a clear winner.

Yep, BLK is definately one of the stayers.
It's reliable, has ongoing active development, very secure, freakishly fast and a very strong and supporting community.
Plus the Chinese seem to like it  Wink

All we really need is just one good practical use case to draw in the big crowds.
But were will we find it...

http://paspagon.com/

The processor can possibly be extended to support arbitrary payments, including coffee payments, if there is a demand for that. Meanwhile it allows selling various forms of digital content without registration, sometimes in an unprecedented way (blog posts, ebooks, movies, photos, music and any other files). The biggest problem is maybe not the alleged lack of technical services for BlackCoin, but the low number of non-technical traffic creators: merchants, artists and service providers.

I’ve created BlackCoin RPM packages for Fedora 23 and 24. BlackCoin is maybe the first cryptocurrency to have packages for the just-released Fedora 24, as even the Bitcoin repository doesn’t support it yet.

now THAT is progress ...

i would luv to learn how you do it ( not just compile - but actually package as rpm ) - as i have a few packages id like to incorporate - and will be happy to get a repo sorted if it pans out - for the fedora / rhel based distros ...

lets chat if you are willing to work on it ...

just so you know - im a fedora / rhel guy also Wink ... and i too get very frustrated with the lack of support in this industry for rhel based systems ... even though redhat is one of the worlds largest linux corporations ... and one of the most widely distributed desktop and backend server system - especially in corporate environments ...

id be very happy to work with you on this - not just for the blk wallets ...

The packages were built mainly using the official RPM creation howto, somewhat referencing spec of Bitcoin packages, though they are much simpler (in particular, SELinux is not involved). I’ve done the packages for BlackCoin to support it and because I use them myself, but I’m not a RPM packaging expert and will probably not be interested in packaging other cryptocurrencies.

no problem ...

no harm in asking - and i received your answer ...

it is appreciated though that you have setup such a 'service' as rpm packaging for blk ...

i have been a long term miner / holder of blk and like to see these sorts of things happen ...

im still interested in putting a repo together - but its useless if the only thing in the repo is one package ...

tanx for your reply - and links ... i actually use the liberty bell packages also for btc ...
