So is the fiat scamming business....particularly the banks & credit card companies who are getting away with it daily. What's your point?

Nobody said fiat isn't in the business of scamming. Can you point to where anyone said the same thing doesn't happen in fiat?

Point is Bitcoin is just as good for scamming as fiat.

I know. He said that directly to me three years ago and that fat latte drinking fucker still clipped me for 200 coins. I was sucked in by his attempt to be legit and taking all the reporting documents from people. Oh well, water under the bridge now I suppose.

Crazy.  200 coins I would hire my own person mercenary to "take care of" the fat fucker. Right, Roger Vers  " the books are fine" didn't help. Sorry to hear that.

Thanks! Bitcoinica clipped me too. I was real bitter for a while. I deleted all my posts as CBH and swore I'd never come back. I guess I really can't blame anyone but myself. All the signs were there and as you can see above, I was warned early enough to fix it.  Sad

So is the fiat scamming business....particularly the banks & credit card companies who are getting away with it daily. What's your point?
I think the scamming problem is more prevalent in the bitcoin world then it is in the fiat world.

also what you are referring to is practices that you think are unfair but are really not a scam. The terms of and conditions of these trades are revealed to both parties before they enter into an agreement

Bitcoin scammers are flooding now. Each market seems to be saturated with scammers...no place for legitimate people. That's why I only go for deals with dealers owning a trusted website else Localbitcoins.

So just thinking out in my head here  in light of the bitcoin7.com scam  ( which your's truly called it a scam https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=17043.0;all ) where and how do these scams come about ?

I'm starting to see a pattern here between the polish exchange , mybitcoin and the other's who seem to have been "scammed" by some bad people .  My theory:

Build a front-facing website that actually looks like a "business" , then cry-foul that russians came and took your business wallet along with all the BTC of your customers, sell the company to anyone who wants it  then walk-away with all the coins.

Rinse & Repeat. I mean all these sites come up with the same Bullshit could their be collusion involved with all these? Should we put Phinnaeus Gage on the case?

Thoughts?

Scammers are all over in the big space of internet waiting to hit something big, must review any website/person before trusting them.Fake reviews can be made, black hat methods could be used to boost up the seo to appear on the search engine and many things goes along after all they are internet cons

As the bitcoin is marketed as trust less , you shouldn't trust anybody by default.
In free markets trust is build on reputation and slowly increasing risk.
How about those paypal bitcoin problematic transactions. Is that fraud or paypal's problem?

I personally follow Satoshi and try not to trust anyone, that said with an exchange a front facing interface and then a claim they got hacked does happen a lot in the Bitcoin sphere.
It makes it hard to trust someone until the company is well established as well so a decentralized exchange looks very attractive to me from a functional point of view.

I would like to advise everyone to check www.badbitcoin.org before investing in any websites.
The guy who runs this site has his personal blog keeping track of all scam sites.
