Now the forum changed the system of raising the rank of the user and we all want to spam on the forum was smaller.

The merit system isn't the problem.  The problem is incoherent sentences like the above.  If you're wondering why you haven't earned any merits yet, this is the reason.  There are so many members here and so many posts (mostly garbage), and if what you write doesn't stand out from the rest of the shit, nobody is going to merit your posts--and certainly if someone with sMerits to give can't understand what the hell you wrote, forget about it.

The system is working just fine.  I don't support your suggestion, OP.  It would be very much open to abuse by armies of alt accounts, and believe me, shitposting account farmers would exploit anything they could.

This will help improve and reduce the amount of garbage in new topics.

And it will increase the amount of garbage reply or comment in that thread.

1. If your new message has written 20 pages of reviews and answers - 5 merits.
2. If Your topic received 30 pages of feedback and answers - 5 more merits.
3. If your topic received 50 pages of feedback and answers - 10 more merits.

There will be 2 scenario if we apply this (or maybe more),
1. Lets say "User A" create a topic and want to earn merit, so he create a lot of account and reply on his own thread to earn merit.
2. He can try to start bounty and pay user to reply his thread. So, he can earn merit.

I maybe wrong, but from what i see from thread that have a lot pages, some of them are reply the same answer again and again (well, not all thread) and some of user probably doing copy-paste or plagiarism. So, this is not good idea, sorry.

Really? A merit system for incentivizing your thread on being a megathread? I don't think so you are technically promoting more spam to happen in the forum. With your proposed "improvements" if I want to earn merits the easy way then I would resort on creating topics with general questions like "Is Bitcoin the new Gold?", "Why Banks are Scared of Bitcoin?", "Is Bitcoin the Future of Currency?", or "Is Bitcoin Illegal?" topic questions like this can generate me a lot of merits in no time especially when this topics are posted in the Bitcoin Discussion section as they can easily be answered by a lot of people and all of them will have a generic or similar answer. Just remember the basics, merits are earned by creating high quality post not by receiving tons of replies from the thread you created, quantity does not mean quality.

OP, do you think that the quality of a thread can even be measurable by the number of answers received?
Because one of the biggest problems in the forum is precisely the quantity > quality.

Well, further in the same spirit. I understand that the offer is fabulous but I think it will also help from the influx of stupid questions.
But then there is the view that topics should not be posted in all sections because section altcoins every second will achieve the rank of member for 2 weeks.

Dont know why so much Users wanted to be merit or Discuss about that and the Merit and Rank System !
There are guidelines you can read about !  Do your homework and research for your thing you want to post ,
after that there are 2 ways , First post it and second dont post it !

In my opinion threads like this prove that the merit system is working fine as it is. One or two tweaks (at least 1 merit to receive Jr. Member rank e.g.) would be nice, though.

It's was necessary to use red color ? About your idea , it's clearly indicate for spaming. There is no change to get merit from forum system. Only way to get merit from user. So if you make this kind of garbage post, who will merited you ? Nobody I guess. You are talking about make spammy forum. But reality is merit system was implement to prevent spam. This past few months i dont know why but its hard for me to get sleep any suggestion or opinion that would help me to got better sleep at night . my regular sleep 4-5am

With more than 100 pages of replies this poster should receive 20 merits which was names as Do you smoke weed!!

At least it's no longer seen as a criminal hard drug in many western countries and it go forward every day with legalizing and new informations.

I totally disagree with the OP. Why?
Bunches of replies don't mean that threads or topics under construction are constructive, and high qualitied.
If such a foolish rule implemented, it might cause automatic bumps from bots, account farmers, and massive shits how's to get merits. It might definitely distort the original purposes of merit system.
I believe @Theymos and most of forum members will disagree with your proposal.


Merit system and new rank requirements related to the system have made a real evolution for the forum.
Your proposal might lead to de-evolutionary movements, and give spammers perfect opportunity to rank up.
