It's a nice setup, but I'm afraid your rates are exorbitant.

Nearly $15 AUD/btc which is very high, especially with the low adoption. I like the concept, but the pricing is way to high.

I like the concept, but the pricing is way to high. +1 This is not a new concept btw, it's new when someone figures out a way to do this in a cheaper way. I like the name "DialCoin" though, I hope you can find a way to lower the prices.

Yes, others have tried this. I almost set this up. But unfortunately the prices charged by the companies make it a non sustaining business model. They are used to taking 50% because it is usually someone texting to get their horoscope/love rating or some other complete bullshit.

And they deserve to spend as much as possible

Could be a cheaper way to do something like this. See my post here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=48326.msg576451#msg576451

Year ago I ordered my first bitcoins (well, 0.20 BTC) using similar service; it was my first experience with Bitcoins at all. I agree that prices are high, but it's the easiest way how to start playing with Bitcoins for many people. So I wish you a success, because it's always good to have yet another way how to purchase the best coins on the world .

Just tried to buy 0.141 BTC via sms, works nice. If you want bitcoins _now_, I can recommend it.

Perhaps you could be up front about the charges. "We rape you 1% on the spread while the telecom rapes us both 50%"

Looking forward to roll-out in the U.S. I'll give a try, would be a great way to use up my prepaid phone $$ at the end of the billing cycle.

Any reason in particular why you don't got Brazil there or you just haven't got around talking with the local carriers just yet?

Selly is having trouble doing paperwork in Portuguese. We've just sent him to some language school, with a bit of luck Brazil coverage is coming up shortly.

Just tried Dialcoin from Norway. Great service!! put the price.... it's more than 2x the price of local eu exchange ( non mtgox) I think 20-30% markup is the limit for most people. Hopefully you'll get it down as you grow and can get less screwed by the mobile phone companies? Good luck!
