Someone will just copy this coin and I will mine that one without the IPO.

Have fun mining just another copycat clone without development team that is not going anywhere

This is by far the most interesting dev team and one of the coolest projects that I have seen since ive been on Bitcointalk

What are these developers first and last names? Where did they last work? How much experience do that have?

Everyone always claims each coin has the best devs. I thought coins were open source and anyone could work on them if they wanted to.

Botnets are NOT normally used for cpu mining altcoins. This is VERY RARE and would be VERY HARD to implement.
provide evidence to the contrary if you disagree  Wink

I think he meant botnets could vote and control the amount of coins produced. Buy coins -> Drive down the reward. Then sell -> drive up the reward. repeat...

This is going to be a hard coin to put a price on since the block reward can change up to 1024 times its value.

Anyone mining this coin should set the coin reward to as high as possible.

Higher block reward = Miners make more money.

Anyone?!?!?   Seriously?    Huh

The IPO is only 5%, so it's not that big of a difference. Voting for an amount above 100M, makes it less rare and less valuable.

high school math not required to post here apparently.  I guess that's why the devs got away with saying "1% premine" this entire time.

Using the heavycoin forked cpuminer (available at launch), e.g.:

Code:
minerd.exe -a heavy -o stratum+tcp://stratum01.heavycoinpool.com:3333 -u worker.user -p workerPass

I am new to mining this coin, so not sure of the voting etc

Firstly I have a standalone PC, which cannot compete with people who use rigs or cloud providers.

Therefore, what would be the best vote setting e.g. -v 1024, and what option should I use to make HVC more rare?
