The following has come to my attention:

-Someone in a youtube comment mentioned that bitcointalk is full of third worlders who post gibberish replies in threads in order to gain post counts but I'm afraid that it's worse than that. I believe it is fully automated forum bots that is operated by either governments or wealthy private citizens or possibly criminal enterprises. In my own thread, Burianchain, several mysterious nonsensical replies followed after my post and I am now sure that it is bots.

-The very same bot networks are used to leverage pump and dumps on exchanges and create social media fomo. My experience on an exchange where the Museum Token is trading is that they suffer constant fraudulent account registrations and voting fraud.

-I recently registered on one of the biggest freelance sites as a freelancer to do some charitable work for the crypto community and while scrolling through job listings it is full of offers like "i need 300 professional linkedin accounts that can bypass telephone registration".

So the takeaway here is be very mindful that there is large scale, possibly government scale, astroturfing going on in this forum and on prolific social media sites such as linkedin.

Of course this is not a new phenomena with bought followers and so on, but it is quite sophisticated and deeply deceptive.

I am aware that counter measures are in production to verify online activity.

Be mindful.

Any proof to support your claim ? Or are these just assumptions.

Any proof to support your claim ? Or are these just assumptions.

20 years of gaming familiarized me with the pattern. I also made a warning video several years ago about Austrian government involvement in a scam bot dating site that ripped people off when they signed up. They were required to pay a small credit card fee upon registering but if they didn't "cancel" their account before 24 hours $200 would be deducted, this is nothing new.

I think the tipping point for me in this cluster of clues came 2 days ago when I signed up as a freelancer instead of employer, this is a massive fraud with fake credentials and bot generated fomo.

It doesn't have anything to do with the underlying value of crypto, but the community should not be influenced by criminals or covert government agencies.

All it takes is awareness and verification that it is a real person on the other end.

If you need proof just sign up on upwork as a blockchain consultant and witness the mess in job listing first hand, ico and token scams galore mixed with fake linkedin profile creation requests. And the scam bot dating sites are still alive and well there also...

You can ask any exchange if they have problems with fraudlent account creation and voting...it's networks of thousands of fake accounts, it's not possible to do this manually.

I haven't looked, but Blackhatworld is probably having lots of fun with crypto right now.

Actually we know how BTC affects the society also how much it’s useful based on this I don't think so because this coin has good values also many govt. accept this coin and many of them want to join here also and it is also profitable.

What you say may be true or may be not. I believe bitcoin talks is a leliable site and as having bot- checker varification, has a less chance of being deceived by Bots. Yes, it is true that, forum is full of adds and may use your cookies for further usage, but that does every other sites I know. So, not to worry this more. US government is already Phishing us.

Well, I wouldn't say that you re completely right or completely wrong. It's not just these forum or any other site, such deceptive figures have been decieving people and they exist literally in every field. But that doesn't indicate the whole community is deceptive, we just gotta be careful in this corrupted world.

You are right my bro but we can almost nothing to do with that, only our hope is that forum administrators will unravel those bots and just take them off, so we would be able to communicate here easily.

Though we cannot deny that there are some points in your thoughts but I disagree if you generalize the whole bitcoin forum as being controlled by some elite and underground individuals. There are many kinds of individuals in this forum and there is a possibility that some are paid to make a bad publication on bitcoin but at the same time bitcoin enthusiasts are here to combat those claims which are fud and nonsense.

I don't really support the OP on this but I can't even deny their claims that these are literally bots, because many are used to post bullshit in order to earn Bitcoins and/or altcoins as well as tokens. It is obvious that there is nothing here on this forum to measure what things are to be consciously considered as spam and which ones are quality posts. Each thread I watch, is mostly full of garbage or repeated things just in order to get some monetary gains and these bots are designed exactly to do that - to get these bastards the amount of bitcoins for their bullshit posts - which somehow gives them the power to manipulate small markets and become big by eating others' money. The only way currently is by adding too much man power here on the forum to eradicate all such losers as well as their bots, I already know some good people here on the forum doing the great work of stopping these scums from spamming the hell out of forum, people like rizzlarolla, Lauda and many others of whom I am super-grateful.

Reddit is where something like that could have an effect due to the upvote/downvote thing if you pay any attention to Reddit, which no one should cos it's shit.

Here astroturfing would require actual posting with actual content. Most people are too stupid or too non English speaking to be capable of bending our minds to their will. It's morons chasing payouts that'll never be paid out.

Rumors are common in this market. I think that before saying anyone bad, you should give strong evidence in support of your claim. When the market even many governments are saying well about bitcoin, you are saying completely opposite and so I think that something is fishy in you.

I know what you are saying can be a possibility, but you are saying all these based on a "youtube comment" and some speculations. I would really like to believe your claims if you can show me reliable sources and facts. However, for now, I would advise you to refrain from posting something based on your imagination.

there are bots.

there have been many posts been reporting because they are simply copy and paste comments from either other posts of the topic or information copied straight from a google search.

the merit system seemed to have quietened down the one line spammers who just want to get post counts on their dozens of alternate-accounts but now you see these alt accounts just copying info from wiki/google, without even bothering to re-interpretting the words into their own words.

solutions:
if you see comments that look like a copy and paste job. which some deem as plagiarism report it
if you are an advertiser wanting users to advertise your service.
be more active in vetting who you let advertise. make it harder to qualify.
      check their post history better
dont be afraid to say no to obvious spammers, plagiarists. then those who make bots with dozens of accounts realise they have to change

i think that the forum should go back to multi tiered. where beginners are stuck in a beginners section until they have reached a certain level.
and have another level ontop of the general area. where by those with higher standing/longevity/content can discuss things without the nonsense of newbies that have come straight from reddit with biased mindsets and looking to make money via spamming/copying content

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

third worlders you're mentioning can be easily confused with bots. And here is plenty of them. I would say rather if you're seeing a pattern, most likely it means you're encountering one person with multiple accounts.

It is really absurd that you are accusing several parties without having any trusted source or report. I think you should try to prove your claim so that eyes get open.

Everybody are posting on the Bitcoin forum is meaningful and practical, not spam, so you should not think negatively. This is a great way to get people involved in the campaign and get a good reward. Discussion for personal idea to contribute promotion of an open project without having to spend much money on TV advertising.
