The Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications (MINTIC) of Colombia in conjunction with ViveLab Bogotá, the National Land Agency and the National University of Colombia

In the respective Twitter accounts of the different institutions involved in the project, it is shown with a live video, a prototype of the block chain technology can be used in the future in the New Granada country. According to the speakers themselves, they decided to use the Ethereum blockchain for its ductility, compared to others such as Hyperledger Fabric.

The project consists of a pilot program that helps the National Land Agency to reduce the time in the land restitution process. The demonstration, also sponsored by the National University of Colombia, served as a small contribution to provide knowledge about this technology and the benefits of the application in cases like these.

In the test, the records of the owner and the officials who took part in this process, and the full time, all the fields, the computer's camera, the real time, the real record for the profile and the profile. Everything registered was un-modifiable, a way to increase the transparency and security of the process while the photos help to minimize identity theft.

This sounds really great. I am really hoping for the best. These sorts of projects definitely help in bringing transparency to registration process. Now lets see how far it goes with it’s attempts.

Thanks for sharing this, it’s an amazing news. I think it’s a great decision because Ethhereum blockchain is far better than Hyperledger fabric. It also help the pilot program that helps the national land agency.  I think it’s very helpful to increase transparency and security.

The prototype of the video shows that the blockchain technology can be used in New Granada, but there is no link to that or anything that will vouch for that statement. What we need are proof, without that, no further comments can be made because it might end up being misleading.

Much easier to the manual registration process, with blockchain technology, the process is much transparent with capacity of unlimited data storage maintaining optimum security for lands. No chance of fraudulent activities seen henceforth. This portrays the true potential of blockchain technology.

This will definitely save a lot of time which is wasted in the land registration process. Due to the use blockchain technology it will also increase transparency, save data from getting lost and a huge storage capability which can be utilized to register all of the land without any chance of falling for frauds and scams. Really great initiative, shows the world what blockchain technology is capable of.

Seems like a really good idea to utilize the blockchain technology. By registering land through blockchain will help to save a lot of time, make the process secure and bring transparency to the whole system. Good to see South American countries adopting blockchain technology for their advancements as it is definitely creating a better image for blockchain and cryptocurrency.

Great integration of blockchain technology to solve real life problems. Hopefully a lot of time and money of Colombian government will be saved and the land owners will be assured of safety and transparency regarding their lands. This is a great example for the whole world and people who are still skeptic about the utility of blockchain technology.

There's no blockage and bitcoin, it's a single whole. I think this news is not an accurate translation, or something that was not said. But in any case I'm glad that people began to try to apply this technology in life, I think it will take 2-3 more years and the technology will be in many shoots.

Well, I have already heard that such projects are beginning to appear, even in the Leningrad region, the blockchain was launched and about 500 transactions are said to have been conducted on the blockchain, using the Land, in the smart contract to be reflected,so that the technology is developing

Maybe this is the first project in cryptocurrency.

The pilot can combine the runway with Blockchain.
So all transactions + airplane trips will be easily detected by the general public.

Sounds quite promising, especially if it really is implement. Often in large countries are faced with the problem that it seems that the land belongs to no one, but there is a factory or someone's castle.

This is a really great idea, which shows cryptocurrency is really going places. There are still lots of things to be unleashed as regards cryptocurrency. When fully implemented, it will definitely be a great project, which I really look forward to. More projects like this are still to come using blockchain technology. I hope for the best of it.

For me, this area is the one where the blockchain is so much needed. Some projects are trying to push this technology where they want, even in the cleaning of land or in the registration of production of candles, but the cadastral evaluation and registration of land is thus a lamb who needs the eye of the Lord in the face of the blockchain.

Surprised they didn't decide to go ahead with Factom, which has experience doing exactly this and has worked with several government agencies already (including active partnership with US Dept of Homeland Security). Either way, great to see blockchain used for legitimate purposes.
