US citizens restricted from most ICOs nowadays. Primarily because of fear of us regulations on selling securities to non accredited citizens. Is that fear of being persecuted by US gov an enough condition to ban a healthy part of the globe (an even healthier part of potent investors) or is that just lazyness to come with ways to provide the same freedom of choice to enyone despite the nation?

Looks like a discrimination to me...

Well I think nobody wants any trouble. If your project is good and ICO can reach hard cap without any trouble why would risk yourself and the company by involving in unnecessary legal troubles. I think the rewards are less to compensate the risks they have to take.

This guy is correct. It is not about discrimination or laziness of the team behind the project. It is about weighing in which is more risk-free. Going through all the trouble dealing with legal matters is tiresome and even costs lots of bucks. If the sec did not prohibit US citizens to participate on any ICOs. I am 100% those who ran ICOs would be glad to welcome them in.

Big opportunities always come with more risks so investors need to determine this to prepare their psychology. I think investors need to have a long-term development orientation in the market so that they can make the right decisions in times of turmoil. To me this is a very good time for the market to grow stronger after a long period of decline.

Its a lot of legal work for an ICO to be listed in the US, and they dont want to deal with it.
Otherwise, if an ICO is good enough, it will attract investors, and be able to reach the hard cap even without US investors.

I think by rule USA citizens are not allowed to invest into ICO's unless you are an accredited investor then you can invest into the ICO. so i think ICO's restricts the US citizens from participating in their ICO so that they will avoid regulators coming for them, it's not about the devs been lazy.
