See how your resources on how you use it depends on you. Politicians can use Bitcoin. It has been kept open for everyone here. Do not have any control. The problem of mortality is different here. Bribes can usually be given to anyone at any cost. But it is not written anywhere that it is bribe.

Can you support your claim, that you can 'bribe' them?
Donation to run for a certain office, or bribing are a big difference

I think we should avoid using negative words with bitcoins, that has in part slowed the rate of adoption of bitcoin, most persons still see bitcoin as a tool for illicit activities. The above listed persons accept bitcoins as donations to support their campaigns, not as a bribe

Because of decentralization bitcoin is one of the best choices of criminal. But the criminals wouldn’t stop their criminality if there  won’t  no existence of bitcoin . So we can’t directly blame bitcoin.
A Point to be noted is that bitcoin is not anonymous as most person will wrongly assume, your bitcoin transactions can be traced back to you. The story of Mt Gox should serves to remind us of that.

Bitcoin is nothing to blame with this, it is very negative especially on the part of those politicians. We can see that maybe those politicians see the potentials of bitcoin that is why they started accepting it, and therefore support bitcoin in order to have the economic development with the help of bitcoin. Bitcoin is something that can help us to have a better future.

I don't know if it has an impact for the price if they do so, The government will investigate and make a strong counter about it for them not to gain advantage about it and it could be bad for us for our security. Bitcoin will become less decentralized if its happened.

Using Bitcoin for any negative purpose has nothing to do with the fundamental of bitcoin but it has everything to do with bad choice of the man that owns bitcoin wallets and coins inside it. Bitcoin was for P2P transaction for either payment or exchange to services rendered. Bitcoin never asked anyone to use it for evil of drug, vote buying. terror funding and fund looting.

This confirms the fact that in the United States believe in bitcoin and that the crypto currency will continue to grow at a record pace.

This is only the beginning and soon we will forget about fiat money

Bitcoin is a decentralized currency and no one has control over the transactions after the sender send transaction. Some Politicians, terrorists  and guilty person claims Bitcoin from the affected person in many ways.

Collecting funds through the blockchain these politicians are forced to act in a transparent manner with the expenses as they will have to justify the outgoing movements from the blockchain: were for me this thing should be mandatory for all political parties.

Politics on this day has always been dirty, and no matter what form of money are we talking about, dirty politicians will accept it for their personal gains, be it bitcoin or any other assets. There's no hope cleaning this world from dirty politics, as most people running for public offices have always the intention to take the office and use its power for their best interests, not the public's. Perhaps I'll never see the day that public offices will be used for the general good of the public and not just one party or family.

So, you've listed a number of politicians under a thread name "politicians you can bribe". I hope you do realize that they could sue you for this. It could be argued that you're implying that these people can be dirty because they're accepting crypto donations. As a matter of fact these people are great because they're not judging. They aren't afraid to be associated with an asset that some people are calling a pyramid, a scheme, and seeing as a way to launder money, buy drugs online, order hits and so on. You need to have balls to be openly saying that you're supporting free, independent money in today's world.

It's not "bribery" if it is a publicly recorded political donation.

Anyone hoping to bribe anyone with bitcoin is an idiot - bitcoin has a public ledger and everything is trackable.

If these people really recieve bitcoin to fund their xampaign i think there is nothing wrong and in fact it much good and gives bitcoin much exposure to these politicians. Since its not a bribe anyway we should not undermine their actions for using or recieving bitcoin as means of funding their political ambitions.

I think this is a positive sign, and if bitcoin helps these politicians succeed, I think they will probably adopt a more moderate policy towards bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market in the future.

"Bribe" or "donation" is the question of wording. And it doesn't really matter. That's the use case and that's the adoption. I think it's great. It's not about ethics here. It's like situation with guns - criminal will always find a way to obtain one, and lawful citizen fully depends on the local law here.

Where you got that list, any source?
They might take bitcoin donations to just get rid away of possible monitoring from government and this might also make them in favor of bitcoin adoption. They seem to attract votes and donation from crypto enthusiast who will hope for better government regulation and more adoption of crypto but if they will get elected they will make it even harder to exchange our bitcoin. Politicians can't be trusted... Grin

Blockchain technology is doing amazing things in the world currently. Highly beneficial projects are springing up through well-endowed developers in blockchain technology. However we need to be cautious how  bitcoin is used by people, especially politicians since most politicians can't be trusted.

I don't want to think this is bribe. It completely depends on the position if the law in the affected country because in some instances, people are allowed to donate money in support for a certain mission. This are usually done by supporters without expecting any compensation in return. If you call this bribe, you may have to substantiate your claim.

I think you should not use bribe word, because bribe have negative mean. Every politician must be accepting donation in any form including bitcoin as long they can liquidate it. Hopely when that politician elected, they can fight regulation for bitcoin and cryptocurrency
