I would say it's 80% that we can still deal with bitcoins or any other cryptos here in the south-east Asia. Currently there are no laws in bitcoin in our country. Except when you use it to scam people. Then, you got to jail for that.

bitcoin in southeast asia majority countries are looking into crypto currency except china , north korea . but south korea thailand are in favour of crypto currency regulations . i feel there is a scope to be legalized in near future but not now maybe 2-3 years or 5 years depend on techonology adoption of blockchain in institutions. some government states in india also adopting block chain technology to bring transparency into the world. it's all depend on how government point of view.

I went through the topic and saw some said that China, South Korea or even India were in Southeast Asia. Please dig some research before posting. Take a look here to know what Southeast Asia (aka ASEAN) is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southeast_AsiaCurrently, Cambodia is the only country having a absolute ban on bitcoin. Other countries treat bitcoin like a commodity, i.e people can buy, hold or sell bitoin using fiat money. Some even allow bitcoin to be a payment tool (Phillipines or Singapore). Among the region, Singapore is the most open country to bitcoin. Together with Hongkong, it's the safe haven for ICOs from all over Asia.

Countries who have put absolute ban on crypto are very few, some are supporting crypto 100% and mostly are on neutral ground. Like for India, Govt has pulled banking support from exchanges but they are not banning crypto trading. They are now even thinking to regulate crypto trading. So ofcourse it would have a positive effect.

I think that over time it will be legal not only in this part of the globe. I think that the next 10 years - many countries will take bitcoin as an additional currency. It's just a matter of time. We can only wait)

I am not sure all countries in Asia will accept Bitcoin, because it is difficult to equate a view of Bitcoin. but I think that does not matter much, although some countries ban bitcoin, citizens can still access bitcoin. Many big investors come from China even though Bitcoin is banned in the country. negative things from Bitcoin ban may be The number of investors in the country will be very low.

In Southeast Asia bitcoin is not legal. But peoples are using bitcoin in this area. I think if government think bitcoin will change their economy in a positive way then they may accept bitcoin. Nowadays many countries are starting to accept bitcoin.

I think with time bitcoin will be legalized in Southeast Asia because with the view of the platform this will create more impact in the citizens life..... Which will limit the rate of poverty and people make more income on this platform I think it is more advisable to legalize bitcoin in southeast Asia

In our country bitcoin is not illegal but not yet regulated. Hope that someday it will become legal so that no more fear and doubt once we invest in bitcoin. Bitcoin will really help not just to ourselves but also for the economic growth and development of every country.

In Southeast Asia especially Indonesia (the country where I live), Bitcoin is declared as Illegal if you are used as payment because of our government only admitted Rupiah as our national currency. But, you can still invest your money in Bitcoin and gain profit from bitcoin...

Bitcoin falls in a gray area under our country's law. Though we have various events related to blockchain where ICO pitchings are very common, still regulation is too far.

yes there are some countries in southeast asia that have not legalized bitcoin, but from my knowledge most countries in southeast asia do not forbid its people to have bitcoin or trade, they just give warning and all risks in their own responsibility, but I am sure Di the future with the growing world of technology, will many countries in Southeast Asia begin to legalize bitcoin.

I was hoping for this to happen, and more so, looking forward for more countries to legalized the existence of Bitcoin not only in the Southeast Asia but also in some other continents. Furthermore, this is a good news for the crypto currency community. I was hoping that this kind of news will keep on blooming.
