Since it has been a while, here is a status update:

- We have successfully transitioned from a waves asset to a NIST5 coin.
- Our website had a complete overhaul *but please note that the website still needs to be optimised in the coming weeks.
- Our community is growing, and continues to grow. To celebrate this, we will release a Vites tipbot on our Discord once we reach 500 followers on Twitter . The tipbot will rain 1.000.000 Vites on our discord users.
- A second giveaway has been released, to celebrate our upcoming whitepaper (Approximately this month / beginning of November) . More info can be found on Twitter.

- The winning name of our "what should we call ourselves as a community" contest has been revealed. We now call ourselves Vitans !
- We are negotiating with several exchanges about listing. However we don't have BTC ready, so everything should get payed out of our own pocket.. There is the dev wallet, yes we know, but the price is too low at this point to pay for  example 5 BTC for an exchange. So we are talking with investors who are interested and the talking part just takes time.

We are pleased to announce the development for the new Vites coin is ready. Accordingly, we are going to 1:1 swap to our own blockchain.

The following reasons to swap to your own blockchain are:

- the possibilities to stake the new PoS coin.
- the new coin offers more stability. The current coin is a Waves assets. It’s platform was in a beta phase. During this period we experienced a lot of nuisance from the assets. Recently it has gone out of beta, but there still seem to be a lot of problems.

Stocks.Exchange (https://www.stocks.exchange/) will facilitate the swap. This means you have to send all your coins to the Vites wallet of your Stocks.Exchange account. Please note that it is required at Stocks.Exchange to have Waves in your account for receiving the Vites tokens. If you are sending your Vites tokens without having Waves in your Stocks.Exchange account they might arrive with much delay.

The swap runs from 17th of August 2018 to the 17th of September 2018. This means the 17th of September 2018 at 23:59 GMT+3 time zone is the last day on which you can send coins. Coins sent after this date are not swapped. If all coins arrive before the end of the last day, the swap is executed immediately. Users will receive new coins within 2 days.

The process looks like this:

When all coins at Stocks.Exchange are in, the team of Vites sends the new coins. The swap is then executed. For full transparency, the status of the amount of coins inside Stocks.Exchange can be monitored via the block explorer. This can be done with the information below.

Vites is a platform where you can purchase services and products from others with cryptocurrency payments. Think of micro tasks, short freelance assignments, but also work for longer term. There are also ideas for a market place where we will act as an escrow service.

There was a community takeover less then a month ago. In the meanwhile the status looks as following:

- Website is being worked on. Will not take long anymore before release. Keep an eye on Vites.io
- Coin development is ongoing. Currently testing on test net.
- Whitepaper content almost finished. Our content writer will make up the whitepaper with the content we've selected

After this we will get our roadmap ready and start building on the platform.

Missing the swap doesn't need to mean being stuck in the old network as we have the exact amount required to fully complete the swap. It just means they will miss the most efficient method and will require alternative arrangements.

We are not a platform doing all payment in one platform. Our aim is to build a platform as the new digital economy that runs on cryptocurrencies. Our first project will be a freelance platform. As far as I know we are the first starting a platform for freelancers being alble to offer microjobs, short freelance gigs and longer term jobs. The NIST5 standard is the protocol used by Neo. ERC20 is the one by Ethereum. They have slight differences but they in essence achieve the same.
