Seqwit locked in.

Unfortunately many whales have been waiting for this moment and are unloading years worth of LTC.

The price is heading back down, expect $3 again soon.

I guess this is Litecoin's last 15 minutes of fame?

It came too close to touching God and now it has been burned.

After nearly 1000 posts you're really still this clueless?  Short LTC hard if you really believe that.

Can somebody tell me what causes the sudden interest in Litecoin?  For years it was sleeping, and suddenly bumped.  I know I am missing something, and did not find any direct answer on this.

Btw I had some LTC, so I dont mind the price increase at all  Cool

just another pump and dump

noobs being dumped upon because of segwit hype. now that it's over we have some fresh baked bagholders  Grin and those bags will become heavier by the day

A lot of pump coins at 600 million market cap and going on Coinbase lol.  At least be creative if you're going to talk nonsense.

lots of downward pressure to sell from the whales sell walls huge order side small, makes no sense just to sell off at this point when you can make so much more by pumping time will tell but still has a chance to take a turn north.

The recent price rise in LTC is quite surprising! (And very cool.) I used to trade this stuff. Very curious if the supply will start to sell at this high price.

Litecoin is heading towards the moon, ATH 100$ is no dream anymore, it just simply facts.

I want to thank coblee for his work.

Lets all get on board this ship!

Why would litecoin drop on activation on sigwit? With the faster transactions would people not start using litecoin more for quicker transactions?

Some profit taking and weak hands.  Fudders are right about 1 thing: Segwit is priced in... but Coinbase, LN, etc are NOT priced in.

I think we should be aware that this thread is going to be visited by speculators and sock puppets from other coins threatened by the the advances Litecoin is about to make.

When I read posts like those 'newbie' BDO_44 has made, I question what the purpose really is. It seems to be to spread FUD to push the LTC price down. Why would he want to do that? He seems to know about whale strategy. Buy big when you've got a good idea something is going to rise - the minnows follow on a rising price; at the apex sell big (realising profit), followed by FUD spreading - the minnows sell on a falling price; the whales buy back big at a cheaper price ... and the cycle repeats itself.

For the next two weeks there will be a lull while Litecoin fully implements SegWit. BDO_44 knows this. The price rose on SegWit speculation. The next spikes will probably happen when SegWit is finally implemented and also when Litecoin joins Bitcoin and Ethereum on Coinbase ... with Lightning Networks, Confidential Transactions, Blockchain merging with Bitcoin as a solution to Bitcoin's scalability issue etc. etc. - all to follow.

Andreas Antonopoulus recently pulled a Chinese proverb out of the bag to illustrate a point. I think it is particularly appropriate here:

"When the sage points at the moon, the fool looks at the finger"

The finger is the price; the moon is Litecoin's advancing potential.
