There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

serious question, im not trying to be an @$$... what is the usecase of LTC now that bitcoin cash is available now... doesnt BCH have a more robust network? Is there other reasons that you guys like litecoin, other than the fact that it is a faster version of BTC since it isnt limited on its blockspace yet.

LTC price usually has not the wild swings. Transactions are always fast and fees very low. Never any problems. Easy to convert, not the many zeros in smaller transactions like with Bitcoin which are prone for making mistakes. Just a highly usable currency. Every online store should accept LTC. |

Personally, I am holding some litecoins as the road map seems very promising. Looking forward to Lighting network etc. !!
I hold LTC for long term because price will rise with Lighting network. |

LTC should also rise with BTC, which is about to go up big time..the Banksters are buying in. Noviak bought 15 - 20 million (usd) worth of BTC over the weekend at around 5200 usd and if he did you can bet a lot of others did...hell they probably staged the BTH Pump and dump fud to buy cheap. Chicago Mercantile Exchange is going to offer BTC future contracts starting next week. 10k BTC by the end of 2017- 20k BTC Q4 2018 are predictions I'm reading from some wall streeters, so LTC should rise up with the tide

went from trading multiple times per day to holding for months after the ATH
and now I am back to trading daily.
even with the small fluctuation BTC is moving hundreds daily and
it seems impossible not to try and jump in/out while LTC stays consistent.

One of the few altcoins I am hodling. Its price proves to be steady so I've got no loses here yet. I mostly use it for payment because it has lesser fees and faster transaction than bitcoin.
I agree, Litecoin has many advantages over Bitcoin, and less fees are most important! If I want to send $10 in BTC, I have to pay $5 fee, but with Litecoin is much cheaper! |

I believe will go further than that, let's wait for 2018 Guys if LTC in the next 6 months rises just to 70$ seeing BTC now at 8k then something is really wrong . For me noway we keep seeing progressing only BTC. At some people and all those billions will need diversifying , people also in the future will use in daily purchases many other coins , i just can't see the crypto world ending at BTC and forks , it is a matter of time when billions will fly back to altcoins like it happened in April-Mai. I can't just fit in my head the scenario that BTC will cost 30k and LTC just 50$, and even today how can it be wise to invest in 1 BTC 8k and nothing in the top 10 cryptos for instance. BTC may go back even to 1000$ . No one really knows what will happen tomorrow. |

A lot of fiat was traded for LTC, but then LTC was in turn traded for BTC.
LTC's still doing great though.
