I read steam canceled Bitcoin payment for games. LTC should replace it. wonder how long it will take for them to get it... do we have infos about the number of ltc that are lost or have never circulated ? thanks

Estimates are that around 4 Mio. of BTC are lost 4 ever.
2009/10 at price of some cent/BTC the most have been wasted.

LTC is much younger - so the ever lost amount is much lower.

The community of Steam wants to pay with LTC....but the team...dont know.

If Litecoin doesn’t break out of the overhead resistance within a day or two, it is likely to fall to the 20-day EMA.

On the other hand, if it breaks out of the overhead resistance at $105, it will continue its uptrend and rally to $125 levels.

I don't know if be above $150 in february, but a range of $120-$150 is possible!

BY END OF 2018  PRICE WILL BE ABOVE $200!

it's good time to invest!

Personally i think LTC will be above $1500 by 2020!
Yes next year LTC will be at $150 surely. no doubt.

Yesterday I've bought first time BCH. If BTC crashs in January, people will change to LTC and BCH. And Coinbase have BCH at January.

Lots of exchanging of hands going on the past week.
The last time Litecoin moved like this was when it was 10 dollars.
The dollar is holding up meaning it is not devaluing against the dollar...
just against Bitcoin. This is important.!
I wouldn't be surprised if things started to move up violently soon..!!

Who knows about commissions when trading Litecoin?
Are they big?

Hello guys

I see in CMC that the circulating supply of LTC is 54,194,833  and max supply is 84,000,000. Where is the difference ? Is it still to be mined or are they in an escrow or something similar ? Thanks a lot, I don't know much about LTC to be honest ...

Depends on the exchange and how you plan to transfer $ to that exchange. Direct wire, a payment provider or credit card...

It usually costs around $10 to wire $. So for small amounts ($100) it's probably better to buy with a credit card since that costs around 5%. But for amounts bigger than let's say $500 bank wires are the cheapest way.

Once your money is on the exchange the fees are usually around 0.2% to exchange $ to LTC.

54M is the amount of LTC that have been mined and are in circulation. 84M is the maximum amount that will ever be mined. They are still being mined.

And what happens after all the coins are mined ? How will this affect transactions ? Will miners still be around to process the transactions if there are no new coins to be mined ? They will rely only on the fees ? So many questions ... Smiley

I think they can never be mined 100%, and miners will stay because they will earn fees by confirming transactions. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

It's the same thing with every deflationary crypto coin. Litecoin reduces the miner reward by half every 840,000 blocks (roughly 4 years). So the reward gets smaller and smaller until it becomes irrelevant and the fees from transactions are the main reward for miners.

All of the coins will be mined, but it will take a long time. 99% will be mined by 2035, and then it will take another 100 years for the last 1%

Essentially you are correct, yes.

Damn, wish I could be here in 100 years to see how things will turn out. It's going to be an interesting world i guess, this one that we will leave to our children and grandchildren.

A friend of mine told me about litecoin on 2013. It was a better and faster version of Bitcoin he said. I did not know what bitcoins or litecoins were, I assumed my friend got a bit carried away in the digital world.

He is rich now, and I am not.

Congrats on the current price surges. I follow litecoin with interest and am cheering for my friend
