Yahoo! Lists Bitcoin, Litecoin, Tron, Ripple, EOS and Others Among ‘Select Financial Stocks’
A new Yahoo! report on Alibaba founder Jack Ma and his recent comments about Bitcoin shows just how far crypto is creeping into the mainstream.

The report includes a list of “select financial stocks.” Traditional stocks such as American Express, Prudential Financial and JP Morgan Chase are listed along with several crypto-to-USD trading pairs.

The inclusion of cryptocurrencies with traditional stocks is part of a normalizing trend of digital currency assets.

Last week, four cryptocurrencies were added to the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) database, one of the most well-respected resources for financial indicators that is widely cited by mainstream outlets.

Cryptocurrencies have also inspired a new rating system by the Chinese government, which ranks the top 30 coins according to three factors: technology, application and innovation. EOS topped the list in the most recent publication.

The following cryptocurrencies were listed in the Yahoo! report, as of 10:15 a.m. EST.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I don't think litecoin can be the next bitcoin. Litecoin is a good coin but there haven't been much happening in price movement probably because of the bear market  but then again I don't think litecoin  can replace  bitcoin.

i think same as you. bitcoin is first and still best and unique
lite is good coin but bitcoin have no match
and litecoin total marketcap cap is pretty huge
i think people prefer hold bitcoin rather then litecoin because of the analyst predictions that bitcoin price will go up soon to more the its ATH price

Will absolutely everyone be supporting the improvement of Fairbrix or you will be doing the improvement of Litecoin + Fairbrix? Litecoin will have a cap similar to Bitcoin. Also, Fairbrix common transaction times is 5 minutes with 25 coins generated in a block. Litecoin is 2.5 minutes with 50 cash in a block

According to Charlie Lee, the Litecoin founder, the futures feature will make the coin greater official and is quickly turning into the natural institutional investor herbal choice. Although futures have been blamed for Bitcoin marginal overall performance in the past, for LTC these will make bigger liquidity and spur the fee up.

it’s also a fact that there has been such Bitcoin fee dip in the previous as well, which was accompanied by a bull breakout and this is causing FOMO amongst investors. Nobody wants to lose this chance by using no longer making their go when the costs of pinnacle 10 cryptos are low. Once Litecoin turns bullish again, it will be very intriguing to see which function it will take.

LTC chart looks not very good. I think we can see 0.01 price soon, if the market will not go up. From the other hand, investing in LTC is investing without any risk. Because i am sure that this coin will recover its position in future.
And one more question - guys, nobody have not problems with depositing LTC to HitBTC? i can not receive my tokens for two hours and a little nervous.

Litecoin is for those who look for stability, but don’t expect it to grow at a high pace like Ethereum or Bitcoin.
You can’t invest in it expecting it to increase by 20 times.

It's most likely growing at the same pace as Bitcoin if Bitcoin increases. And if it turns out that Litecoin is more viable for everyday transactions in the long run, it could perhaps outperform Bitcoin over some period of time.

What are you talking about? It grew by almost 100x last year. Meaning it vastly outperformed Bitcoin.

LiteCoin has so big potential to grow it has very low market cap it just timely matter because it has low value. I believe in future adoption will increase rapidly and it will replace BCash and XRP very soon. This is still good investment.

Litecoin undervalued coin, from day one seen as copycat of Bitcoin. The idea of litecoin was originally perfect-to create a faster coin. this coin realy very interesting and very nice.

For anyone who cares we need the following LTC prices to break even on the various electrical prices below...pick you poison! (I'm at 14c kWh so doomed anyway)

This is for a Bitmain L3+ 800mh 500w unit. (Probably 90% of scrypt-pow units still running at this difficulty and price) Calculations are from www.litecoinpool.org/calc
this is a free pool and pays out only on LTC at 101%. So you can plug any of your own numbers in and confirm below. This is at an $85 current LTC price. Also the difficulty at this time for LTC was 9869969.3940645.

6c   kWh needs at least   $45.00  LTC to break even

7c   kWh needs at least   $52.50  LTC to break even

8c   kWh needs at least   $60.00  LTC to break even

9c   kWh needs at least   $67.50  LTC to break even

10c kWh needs at least    $75.00 LTC to break even

11c kWh needs at least    $82.50 LTC to break even

12c kWh needs at least    $90.00 LTC to break even

13c kWh needs at least    $97.00 LTC to break even

14c kWh needs at least  $105.00 LTC to break even

15c kWh needs at least  $112.00 LTC to break even

there you have it...anyone who wants to sell/buy my 14c kWh doorstops, pm me...(as an aside) (I'm doomed) Sad
so boy, do we need a pump on LTC price! But then again a pump will just draw all the other L3+'s like mine back into the fold
so that could very well be a wash, even at $125 LTC price.

crypto, always drama..anyway for those that don't mine LTC..this is kinda how it stands now, just for your info.

Lighning network = centralacied, BTC LTC = decentralized.... i have a better feeling on the free uncontroled site. So LTC will be more valuable than BTC, but BTC isn't practical because it's so expensive. You do realize that is completely illogical, right?

I didn't imply the opposite with my comment. I said that it could outperform Bitcoin again although another 100x is a bit difficult to imagine. I wouldn't be against it for sure Wink
