Europe’s homegrown civilian satellite navigation system, Galileo, will reach completion with the launch of four new satellites today.

This system is not a European system, but a system controlled by the European Union, and that is a part of the globalisation project. The four new satellites will bring the total up to 26, and 24 are needed for a complete global system. The surveillance and control possibilities with this system are awesome. Of course there are benefits, but are they worth the negative possibities that will affect our lives?

How do you feel about this attempt by a remote group of elites to monitor and control soverign nations?

The system was developed by the ESA in cooperation with other countries and it's a GPS system like others already functioning, maybe more precise.

The rest are just conspiracies theories. Smiley

I think you're losing it.

It's a navigational satellite constellation. It has no surveillance capabilities of any kind, and its only control capabilities are that it can cause idiots to drive their cars into lakes with <1 metre accuracy (a big improvement over GPS).

How do you feel about this attempt by a remote group of elites to monitor and control soverign nations?
The opposite is the case. The system was created specifically to avoid reliance on GPS, which is under the exclusive control of the US military.

Here is a quote from the link posted by Makkara

The European Commission has said non-member states cannot be trusted with sensitive data that will run on the highly encrypted part of the program, used by EU governments and militaries.

The EU doesn't have any governments, it is controlled by an unelected body that reports to the deep state, ie, the Bilderberg group.

You really like to twist words around...

The EU commision said that non-member states (Norway/Switzerland and pretty soon the UK), can't be trusted with sensitive data that is used by EU members governments (France, Germany, Netherlands ) and so on...

Quote
The Guardian cited an unnamed EU official as saying that Britain was asking for access to secure data that not all member states currently have, which was a "big ask" for a future non-member state.

I hope they are going to repay the money we spent helping to set up the system when we escape from their corrupt regime.

I knew the EU was doomed when they brought out that flag displaying a load of stars running round in a circle. Smiley

I must behave. This thread is turning into a political "discussion".

Some sympathy for JetCash:

EU are corrupt and undemocratic, and certainly shouldn't be trusted or supported.

On the other hand:

Navigation satellites (and satellite tech in general) is very 1 way in bandwidth terms. Satellites can send alot of data throughput to earth, but there isn't much in the way of receiving capabilities (ask anyone who uses a satellite based internet connection, it's very poor). Even if this satellite constellation was equipped with cameras, there's not alot of activity that can be monitored with just 26 of them (although if the EU were to strategically combine their efforts with global satellite networks operated by the US, China or Russia, then they could increase overall global coverage).

Germany inceased it's economy by avoiding any military expenditure, but relied on the US, the UK and the UN. It created the EU to strip assets from members countries like Greece and the UK, and pass many of the proceeds on to the deep state through the banking system. The Euro was created to avoid the revaluation of the German currency, and to maintain an unfair export advantage by exploiting the weaker currencies of the southern countries. Now that it is obvious that the EU is doomed, it is having some last ditch attempts to syphon money from member countries - for example, the sale of UK military airports will be at under valued prices, and I'm sure most of the proceeds will find their way into the bankrupt banking system. The EU is attempting to create it's own army, and the satellite system will obviously be a part of this. The only reason that the EU needs an army is to try to suppress the rise of populism and anti deep state sentiment in its member countries.

Can you tell me which countries are not corrupted and can be trusted? Wink

No, there are probably none. The EU is simply worse than many others (and a step in the direction of centralised power, which is in principle anti-democratic).

Right, but how much coverage can really be achieved with 26 satellites worldwide, even if you consider that EU/USA/Russia could pool their resources with such cameras. Even then, one word: clouds

I hope the threat of this sort of totalitarian control might get some of the more state-system apologists to finally wake up: what's the big plan, just pray like crazy that no electorate ever votes in a crazy dictator? Good luck with that, all government is always somewhere on the tyrannical scale. Blind faith that the next compromise "won't be too bad" is what slowly grinds a society into the situation where crazy dictators can take advantage of a desperate situation. If you think history can't possibly repeat this way, you deserve everything that happens to you

hey carlton, don't forget to join bitmessage... www.bitmessage.org ... it's a nice software for nice discussion, uncensoreable etc great great...

Politics   BM-2D9d9op3Mf88EywdScTUfgTD8SsR32SrKR

and you forgot HDCCTV on commercial planes (yes they do that too...). and clouds, it's a funny argument, I have no real proof, but I guess that seeing isn't only in human visible light... just reprocess it with an algo and you have a clear stream on your screen...

I guess sand was a little bit more challenging... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Viqlcue0cwc raytracing and co Smiley

and then they will deploy (or already have) :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kGLVtbCcHk

their goal is to be able to rape safely.

and stateapologists will never wake up : their job depends on it, remember goebbels killed his children, meanwhile others were fleeing with the loots Smiley.  so on one side you have the state believers, they believe to do goods; and those exploiting their naivety, ready to abandon ship at any instant and sink it with the "believers".

What can you say? It's current technology, and if they don't have their own system, while the US does have it's own system, then they will be at a sort of disadvantage.

Such surveillance is part of the current world we live in, and nothing is going to stop it. Should they US not send up satellites that can monitor the whole world because for some it might be "morally" wrong? (as opposed to actually wrong).

Nations just have to adjust to the new reality.
