Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Probably because its off-topic? I mean technically it is, and if anyone thinks an ICO is a scam, it should be in scam accusations only perhaps?

Talking about an ICO being a scam in a bounty thread makes it off-topic, doesn't it? It would make more sense for such warning to stick to the ANN thread and its scam accusation topic. Right?

That is hilarious.

From the same bounty 1st page(http://archive.is/9g4EL):

the most favorite  industry for  crypto  business,  I am sure that project will  collect at least soft cap,  because this subject is in demand, was in demand and will be in demand)  However, to my mind there are a lot of competitors, last of them what I met recently - Vogov,  I will support both,  this industry like a deep ocean,  all  can take  the big piece of pie.

Talking about ICO in bounty - NOT REMOVED.

~
Bumped topic within 24 hours - NOT REMOVED.

We want to make adult production great again! We want adult industry, and porn in particular, to become unbanned, widely recognized as legal. We want adult entertainment to become free of fraud, annoying ads, scams, hackers and other threats. We want HamPorn services to become reliable, widely known, highly reputed, frequently used. We want HAP tokens to become well recognized, practically used. We believe that users must be in complete anonymity & security. Only such conditions can allow for the enjoyment of the wide range of services of webcam for adults.

Bump within 24 hours + talking about ICO in bounty topic - NOT REMOVED.

So how is my post off topic and these posts and bumps are ok?

Why is warning in bounty topic where all advertisers are bad? Scam alert is bad?

I think scam is so widespread and not everybody go to scam accusation board so it is quite fair that you attack against them in there ANN + Bounty thread.
Nothing should be considered Off-Topic when somebody is giving warning against scam.

Mods might have deleted it because it is just an accusation without a proof. Might be if you included the proof and challenged the tread creator to reply in Scam accusation board  then I do not think they will delete it.

The post that is deleted simply look accusation/threat without any proof and I think Mods are right.

If a DT member is planning on tagging bounty participants because the project is a scam (or suspected scam), I'd say it's not really off-topic.  Don't know why something like this would be deleted.  Bounty hunters tend to not visit sections other than bounties, so it's not a given that they'd see anything in Scam Accusations.

Edit:  On the other hand, bounty hunters probably would still miss a warning like this, even if it's in a bounty thread they're participating in--doesn't matter what size font or color you use.  Take a look at how many sig campaign applicants miss "This campaign is now CLOSED" posts.  Maybe a standalone thread in Scam Accusations would be better anyway.
I am not against such warnings and it's a good thing that marlboroza left the warning, but when it comes to moderation, mods can't do anything but to follow the forum's policies and hence it was deleted, unless there was a whole another reason for the post to be deleted.
I guess I just disagree.  I don't think this is something mods should take action against.  The project might be a scam, but by extension the bounty is also scammy and hence a warning isn't strictly off-topic.

I have to agree, it would be "more" on-topic in the ANN thread.
If the Bounty program itself were a scam, it'd be on-topic, though. IMHO. Cool

No. Mods deletes it because it's against the forum's policy. Proof or no proof.

Sorry, I am unfamiliar with such forum's policy as I've seen some other DT members doing or have done this.

Hopefully, moderator will come and clear any doubts about this.

I didn't find anything bad on that reply. That was warn for bounty hunters and investor too.

I can't see it off topic from any angle. Reply was related the thread to stop promoting scam ICO. As well as bounty hunters not much visit on scam accusation board.

I don't think it's against the forum policy to warned by reply if you find something wrong on the thread.

BTW, It was happened with me also. I expect appropriate answer from moderators.

By forum's policy I mean the rules. What I mean here is that mods will delete any off topic post if reported by anyone, even if the post is a warning about a scam ICO in a bounty thread. Even I have seen other DT members warn about such scams, and some have been deleted and some haven't.

Honestly before anybody takes my answer seriously, wait for the mods or theymos to clarify the scenario.

So, MR. moderator who is moderating "ALTCOIN BOUNTY" are you going to remove all my posts from these threads or can I get simple answer after 4 days why my post was removed?

I know it is easiest way to delete reported post, harder part is to do research about scam ICO, can I get simple answer WHY MY POST WAS REMOVED???

THANK YOU!

You are not in a position to threatening people with negative trust, in a way you are trying to moderate the scam while the forum does not moderate scams. what you could do however would be to tag their ANN account/bounty manager so that bounty participants see the tag and start investigating further.

So DT members should just let idiots advertise for scammy ICOs?

The rule , The forum doesn't moderate scams is implied only when someone reports or asks mods to Ban a user or delete a scam thread, which mods don't do. Pretty sure that isn't the case here.

@marlboroza, Welsh is also a moderator of that board, you can PM him to have your answer.

Been (and kind of still am) a bit ill over the past few days so haven't had the energy to answer PMs.

Since my memory is shaky when it comes to most moderated content and there are several active global mods moderating the forum, I can neither confirm or deny I deleted the post. I did go through the report logs and while someone did report your post (and it's marked as handled), it seems like not only your post, but the entire thread was deleted alongside it. Not sure how post notifications work when a thread is deleted instead of trashed but maybe it's sent out on thread deletion (=/= thread trashing) as well. The thread you're linking to is a newer one.

Also, seems like whoever handled the report, marked a duplicate report from a user as valid, which makes me believe I wasn't the one who deleted your post (I use a script that highlights duplicates) and AFAIK I haven't deleted (not trashed) any threads at least in the past week.

I just have one question: Had the thread not been crashed, and someone had reported marlboroza's post, would it be deleted? Is it considered to be off-topic or not?

Warning users that a project is a scam is not off-topic. Posting the same thing to several threads might be considered multi-posting / duplicate posting (especially if the threads said duplicate posts were posted in are about the same project).
