Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

What gives arbs?

He's been going at least a week to a week and a half before sending anything out, for months.

If you're one that believes he actually does get his income from arbitrage trading, the markets have been absolutely stagnant recently...so there's no volatility and no movement up or down. It's trading sideways and nobody has any clue where it's going to go, but the volume is weak. So there isn't any money to be made trading it, right now.

freejack.... whenever someone posts something on here, you are so quick to respond with an explanation. its honestly a little suspicious. I get it. you don't have to defend arbs everytime I post on this forum. He hasn't answered me in two months that's why I asked. Usually he responds to my messages in a few days. It's legit been two months since I got a reply.

I have the "Show new replies to your posts" page bookmarked and check it pretty much daily...and since very few people still post in this thread, I reply to people asking questions and try to keep the thread alive, to "remind" BTC-Arbs that we're still waiting on him to pay us back. I honestly don't know if or when I've ever replied to you specifically, I don't keep track of that. I've just been in this thread more or less since the beginning, so I try to keep people up to speed on what's been happening. Because BTC-Arbs doesn't really put any effort into that. My last reply to anyone was three weeks ago...so your accusation doesn't hold a lot of weight.

If, however, you think that by posting "What gives" in this thread, that's going to get you an answer other than, "More payments going out in five minutes" on BTC-Arbs' schedule...sorry to disappoint you, but it seems pretty unlikely, given his track record.

The markets have been stagnant recently making this much harder than anticipated. The drop today helped. More payments today in 10 minutes.

I received 0.03 BTC, thanks ... Instead of arbitration, why not make trading? much lighter? being cautious, can make better profits ... Greetings. Raúl

They make their profits through stealing from investors. This is a ponzi scheme, plain and simple. There is no trading or arbitrage.

Anyone who claims to have gotten anything back is lying, and anyone actually expecting to get paid is an idiot.

Considering that the site doesn't exist and he doesn't take any more payments, and most people in this thread have gotten at least SOMETHING back (even though it's been coming at a trickle), he's getting the money from somewhere else. Whether it's via trading, arbitrage, or working a second job...I don't much care. I just want to be paid back what I'm owed. Sadly, that's never likely to happen, because Bitcoin has lost so much of its value since I initially deposited it in this mess. That, and the fact that the pace of repayment means I'm going to be in retirement before I see the last of my money returned.

Nope. Load up the spreadsheet and check the TX IDs for yourself before you let your paranoia get the best of you.

Hello all, I havent been back in a while.

I randomly get .1 BTC into my account, which I assume if from BTC-Arbs.

Please look at this PDF from the SEC about Ponzi Schemes.

http://www.sec.gov/investor/alerts/ia_virtualcurrencies.pdf

From the first page:

 Any investment in securities in
the United states remains subject to the jurisdiction
of the seC regardless of whether the investment is made
in U.s. dollars or a virtual currency. In particular,
individuals selling investments are typically subject
to federal or state licensing requirements

There is a tips and complaints portal here.

I think that we should organize something, this is unacceptable to me that nothing has been criminally filed. He (BTC-ARBs), has the burden of proof to show that he was hacked.

The reason you haven't seen anything done is, he's been attempting to pay people back. A criminal action would result in incarceration, which  wouldn't see anyone's money returned. So far, for about a year now he's been gradually making payments. Not a ton, mind you, but he's continued to pay people and hasn't attempted to vanish. So we have just let him continue trying to make it right.

I would like some immediate transparency. How many more BTC does he need to return (his list). How many BTC does he have. How many USD does he have. What transactions is he making on a daily basis. A website back up that is solely there for this purpose. I mean, the price has dropped significantly in BTC. Do a home equity line of credit, something to make it right.

There needs to be some motivation to be more transparent and I am not sure of another way at this point.

I think making demands about transparency and shit is pointless. He's paying you back, albeit very slowly, why so many tears? Never "invest" more than you can afford to lose, that way when you lose (and you will) everyone won't have to hear you cry about it.

The smart way to look at this is as a bonus. Your money is gone, straight up. Deal with it, and look at whatever is coming back as a a good thing, not a shitty thing because it's taking a while. I mean, for fuck's sake, Arbs could pack it up and disappear any time he wants to. If I was him I can't say I'd still be paying back money to a group of people who cry every time I make a payment.

Yes - the hundreds of users here who have received payments back are lying. Another bunch of refund payments has been sent.
