I find this bounty campaign : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4402172.0

Look into its ridiculous condition:

Ethereum Private Airdrop

We will distribute  5.000.000 ETHPT  Token to the first 5000 people.

Everyone join Airdrop will get 1.000 ETHPT  Token = $ 50

•  To get your Tokens of Airdrop

send
0.005 ETH to Airdrop address, and you will get 1000 Token automatic

If you can send more than 0.005 ETH you will get more tokens

Airdrop address: 0x983fa65777f156cb5CBeB95faC5e2135c4802C6B

•  Participated in the AirDrop Form | Spreadsheet

When you go to the bounty campaign, the bounty manager is a copper member and it is a typical bounty campaign.  However, this airdrop rules is really ridiculous and asking users to send money to his private address!

Next they'll ask for your private key to "directly credit your airdrop coins" to it Roll Eyes

Yeah, well, I'm gonna go build my own blockchain. With blackjack and hookers! In fact forget the blockchain.

I really find this one innovative and hilarious at the same time.  The bounty manager sure is a wise guy to think of scheming like this.  Making the bounty campaign as a cover up to ask for ETH to be sent to his/her wallet.

I can't say that's a new scheme, I saw enough similar scam attempts.
But how this shit can be called airdrop when people literally have to buy these tokens? And do I understand correctly that all these people shown in a spreadsheet really paid ETH for these airdrop coins? If yes, I'm surprised to see so many fools who easily give their money to scammers. This is why such projects are succesful for authors.

I agree that it's shady and seemingly very risky, but has anyone actually gotten scammed yet, i.e., did anyone send them ETH and get nothing in return?  If that's the case, I'll happily tag Ethereum-Private.

If not, then getting a worthless token in return is part of the risk which everyone ought to be aware of, and it's not truly a scam (IMO).  This isn't even the first case of this shitty deal being offered, as far as I know.

Since its limited only to 5000 people and if all those knuckleheads send 0.005 ETH, that would make up 5000*0.005=25 ETH == ~12,000$, and each user would be giving 2.36$ away.

Better to stay away and not get yourself scammed like a doodoo. Seems very fishy.

Honestly, I never believe if there is an airdrop or bounty campaign that has a rule must send money and in return, they will send tokens along with rewards.

The first risk is losing money, it is obvious will happen.

The second risk, because we have sent money so we will try to make the money back and will do whatever he wants, looks like a fool.
like we will do this,

Next they'll ask for your private key to "directly credit your airdrop coins" to it Roll Eyes

The third risk, if he has received money from the person he deceives, with pride he will evolve his thoughts for other frauds and visible people who are in this forum is stupid.

Even if they sends token you might not know if those tokens will have any price in future.

I agree that scammers are not going to stop with their ways of scamming but one wouldn't get scammed if he is cautious at least and can pick the part where one is trying to scam.

Well okay. It is a scam tactic for sure. However, if you are a fool and you will send ETH in order to get back a not worth shitcoin then you deserve to be scammed.

Bounty manager should be ashamed of posting something like this  Grin

thank you for the info, I will stay away from them and I hope that many people will realize about this and they can stay away too. but for me, I don't think that the airdrop can give much money to the participants although it is just like a free money to them. but in this case, I see that people need to send 0.005 eth to get the token and somehow, I don't like it and I think it's like bitcoin doubler in the past Grin

Ethereum-Private as a bounty manager last active on 12 July 2018, bad thing to do as bounty manager IMO.

And he locking the ANN thread, [ANN] [ICO] [Airdrop] Ethereum Private, Private, faste and more things are different with bounty programs in general.

Can be said as a skepticism.

That's the fourth risk to be faced.

Their way is very subtle to guess because in general, it will have the same shape and just have a little difference with the project that can be trusted. This will make it difficult for someone to ensure a scam project or legit project, especially the noobs.

Why on earth would you send money for an airdrop ? IT'S AN AIRDROP !!! Free tokens falling from the sky. Not tokens for eth.
Same thing for bounty campaigns who ask you to pay gas fees (or else i.e. the Fiancia scam) to receive your rewards ! You worked, you get paid, that's it.
Stay away from these.

When I see threads like this, I just conclude its a waste of the opportunity granted to create thread anyhow as the only person that could fall for that kind of scam is someone lacking in both common sense and ability to waste money. Its so obvious and the funny thing is everyone posting on the thread won't fall for it while the category of people who are lacking in the common sense highlighted above won't find their way to this section of the forum to read about it. In essence, it does not just serve any purpose whatsoever just a waste of time and I feel the individual who open the thread might have been doing so for other motive such as merit, praise or something else other than scam stopping or bursting.

Do you think people are just outright stupid to think that joining a telegram linking is what will stop shit coins which would even turn to another platform to promote more shitty coins. If you have anything to offer go about it the right way rather than spamming the forum with your channels and that could get you a ban really quick than you imagine.
