Need Help  I have ETH in Metamask.  The problem is I can't send to Coinbase.

Is Coinbase not the correct exchange?  I just want to sell and get my cash.

What's the prompt or something when you try to send it to Coinbase? Also check the hash. It should worked usually.

If you will do the cash (fiat) withdrawal in Coinbase then it's way less hassle if you will sell your ETH there.

Is that the correct exchange? Well honestly there are lots of exchanges around which supports ETH pairs. Don't want to suggest my preferred exchanges as we have different approaches on those.

You have not mentioned the problem you are experiencing, You asked a very general problem. İf you want to solve that problem, you must tell us in more detail. Why can not you send it? What happens when you want to send it? how much eth will you send?

Harizen is correct that you need to mention what was exactly the error to easily search for the solution.


Anyway, there have been same cases in the past (unable to send Eth out of Metamask), though not specifically sending to Coinbase. One solution that worked for some is changing the network. I'm using chrome browser and it works this way:

• Change the Network
• Choose custome RPC
• On the New RPC URL field, put https://mainnet.infura.io
• Click Save

The problem I,m having in MetaMesk..............I can,t add my address to T/F my ETH CB.  So I'm not sure if CB is the correct site to T/F my ETH and CASH OUT.
Do I have to sign up with a new exchange?  And if so..........which one?

Not sure if I understood it correctly, just correct me if I'm wrong. So, you are trying to send out Eth and can't add a recipient address in the TO field? Some usually right click on the mouse and click paste, but it will not work in Metamask. What you have to do is:

1. Copy your Coinbase address
2. Go to Metamask and choose the account with Eth
3. Click Send (details page will be shown)
4. Click the To field (disregard the dropdown)
5. Press Ctrl + V (⌘ Command + V in Mac) to paste the address
6. Always double check if the pasted address is yours
7. Fill out other details and click Next
