And in addition, the domain name in the email looks suspicious, same with the server with the gappssmtp domain. So simply ignore it and report as spam or delete it otherwise.

I will quote the Answer given here, for the people who cannot access the link :

" Hi Ciprian, if these messages arrive in your Gmail Inbox, please mark them as Spam to train Gmail's spam filters.

The domain you see is absolutely standard for messages sent from G Suite accounts (these were previously known as Google Apps accounts hence the domain name includes "g apps").

If someone is acting illegally in your area, please report their activity to legal authorities in the same jurisdiction.  Google is not able to act in the roles of Prosecutor, Judge and Jury.

So yes, it is a spam domain being used for scams. just move it to your spam folder and forget about it.
