*Please don't move to the Scam Accusations child board, this is important for new coin devs to see and they frequent this sub-forum most often.*

I recently released Stories [STY] and ran up against a fantastic scam.

We were running a coinmarket.io campaign, getting our community to post listing requests on the coinmarket trading pair suggestion thread, when I got a PM from a user named fazzerking. He/She claimed to be named "Khal/Kristian", a dev from coinmarket.io, and told me that they were available to list Stories on coinmarket and that they would appreciate a bounty.

It seemed like perfect timing - the campaign was running a lot of numbers, we had already been listed on CryptoRush, and bounties are an important part of the crypto eco-system. It made sense.

So I was foolish, I didn't do my due diligence, and I sent a rather large bounty. Fazzerking never got back to me.

This is a cautionary tale to new coin operators. Scammers will prey on your excitement if you let them. Don't.

Cheers,
UnderAuthor

this fazzerking guy is now known as cryptorush.in and is doing the exact same thing once again.  Be warned.
