HI I was wondering if Sushi Group Buy for the Antminer S1 are a SCAM? Are they scam or legit?? What about ordering directly from Bitmain? I got scam recently from Group buy and it left me a bitter taste. Let me know what you think, thanks.

was legit until dec 2013. bought several. But I know for a fact that ninjatech is 100% legit. |

I bought two in the Feb 10 batch. I had them (in the North East US) on Feb 12 and they have been hashing without incident ever since.
If you read through the thread there are some very good and some not so good comments. The negative comments seem to be mostly people not getting their units as fast as they would like and some people getting what they claim are 'used' units.
I personally can't complain about the shipping. I ordered on Feb 7 (during the CNY blackout) and had my units in hand on Feb 12. Not too bad considering the trip!
They were new in box (or dam close enough to it so that I couldn't tell).
I give the guy a thumbs up. His communication was good and he delivered what he promised when he promised it.
One thing I can tell you, you might like buying from him, you might not, but it is 100% NOT a scam.

Sushi is legit.
He was the guy that actually visited BITMAIN's AntMiner factory in the beginning (as Sushi review). His video made me buy my first AntMiner through BITMAIN's first auction directly (reputedly my AntMiner was the first unit to arrive in Europe), but have since also used Sushi's group buys with success.
The people who I've seen complaining in the threads have in my view had an unhealthy level of expectation of the deliveries, like getting the UPS Tracking Number as soon as sending BTC. I think that both Sushi and BITMAIN in reality have had exceptional speed in delivery and swiftness never seen in the Bitcoin Community before.

Pcpoet, I can understand your feelings, as I was just scammed out of 1.1 btc by AvalonShenzhen. I can vouch for Sushi's group buy on Antminer S1. He is LEGIT. I have bought 1 Antminer on February 7/8th. You can safely buy from him or even the manufacturer's website: https://www.bitmaintech.com/product.htmI cannot vouch for the manufacturer's website above as I have never bought anything directly from them but I would not hesitate to buy from them directly. I bought my first 2 Antminers from Sushi group buys and a 3rd directly from Bitmaintech. Both are 100% legit and just plain awesome. Seriously, the best/only choice of any ASIC vendor at the current moment.

Legit - bought two units from sushi specifically - took a little while but I got them. Also worked with me to support a warranty with a failed board, let me dissasemble it and return it to miner resource in USA and sent me a 2nd board. Its been flawless since.

Sushi is not a scam, and neither is Ninja (bought one from him too).
I understand your being cautious, since I had a bad experience with a group buy also. But, you can't go wrong with either Sushi or Ninjatech.
Best of luck, but you won't need it.

ordered one ant from sushi in dec 2013, got it in 7 days (first camehere in 3 days, and then not so smart UPS handler here in serbia sent it to another trip over europe +4 days), overclocked it and working as a charm. ordered second one in jan 2014, got it in mater of 2-3 days, overclocked it, got coupon for price drop, and working perfect. ordered 2 in feb 2014, they accepted my coupon discount, got it in mater of 2-3 days, same as previous two...... first ordered directly from here, and later on directly from his web page..... had a need for support with first one, he took 45 mins to do setup over teamviewer. only "-" is that he didn't came in a box with ant to connect it with PSU.....  |
