If you are having any syncing issues on windows go to %APPDATA% and search for x42 related directories, delete everything but .wallet.json files. That should solve the problem.

There is a 20 x42 reward every 60 seconds that incentivises the nodes to process transactions, and eventually drops after more than 8 years, after that, the master nodes will make their money from smart contracts that give them the best ROI, still processing transactions, and being compensated.

There are pro/cons with either option. afaik, when this came up in discussions with the team, x42 will move to DPoS if there is a strong community push for it.

Not entirely true, take a look at DPoS coins, and you can see the problems they've been encountering with large holders. They both have their positives and negatives. With PoS, Every transaction must be double-validated by a random staker and master node, and then confirmed 50 consecutive times by random contributors.

Currently there is no easy way to get the private key, we are working on it.
Don't forget that your seed words + your password generate a unique private identifier that translates into your private key, so make sure to store them both offline and in written form.
