One of the beauties of bitcoin is that there's no way to know Smiley

I'd guess not that many, just because Bitcoin is still very niche. The number will grow.

I'm sure there's a handful of serious buyers that saw the possible potential in bitcoins.

I would guess that a majority of those large wallets are Exchange wallets.

$10000 rich? Seriously? That's not even a decent "fuck off"-fund.

Some could also belong to the people that made the wallet.dat viruses or used botnets for distributed mining.

Its all a gamble and some people spend that much amount are not rich but have faith in bitcoins.  Some people put their entire savings into bitcoins hoping it will be worth a shot.  Just like gold, no one knew the price would go up as high as today and people that bought their gold back in the 80s will be making good amount of money in the present day by either selling them or keeping them to see if the price goes higher or not.

Why anyone hasn't gotten out of Bitcoins at this point is beyond me.

Why? Because this is the only "stock" that ive seen blow up from under a dollar to 32 dollars per coin almost overnight compared to real stocks, Show me one legitimate stock that blew up 32X its value like that, even just the chance of that happening again is more than enough to gamble some change on it,

Some were lucky enough to have 100K invested on the .99 cent bitcoin before it blew up to 32 dollars, do the math.

Because some of us understand things better than others. Some of us didn't get involved to make money overnight, but to build a revolutionary monetary system.

Sorry if the price volatility over the past few months has scared you. This is not for children.

Hahahaha no.

Rich people didn't get that way by recklessly spending their money.

Wrong thread but since I need posts, use mtgox.com or tradehill.com.
