Eth always popular bro. You know in crypto space eth is the most used token in the world. People only buying btc and holding. But with eth people buying altcoins investing icos holding etc etc.
Because of these reasons eth is really popular and i believe will be more popular in the future.

ETH's popularity is dwindling maybe as a result of Vitalik Buterin's decision to take a back seat on his legacy project. It is now different from what it used to be. In the past few months, Ethereum has really struggled against Bitcoin. I personally won't sell Bitcoin at this time to buy ETH.

ETH is one of the most popular altcoins until now because of it's ERC20 smart contract where most of alt coins ico uses. But with so many ico buying eth for their fund raising this result a negative impact to eth price lately because of massive sell off of this ico coins of their eth and so the price hit to it's bottom now. |

The Erc20 platform has really been a back bone to other token, for this reason many ico accept mostly eth for ico, so if you wanna participate in most ico, then you need eth, that's one of the major reason the coin is very popular.
