I think it is because ETH is next to bitcoin and before you convert some of your tokens you must need to use ETH first, you just need to convert it with ETH before it will be bitcoin. I don't know if that is also the same process in your country but here in our exchanger, we must need to convert our token into ETH before we can convert it in bitcoin.

However, at present, the total amount of funds in the whole market is insufficient, because the ETF may pass, so I think people will sell ETH and choose to buy BTC.

Not the point. It's more of the capabilities of the two that differs them. It's not just because one is more popular than the other. That's just stupid.
And there are many reasons why market goes red and green. Supply and demand, news, short position and long position, etc.

Also they have many "child" tokens (ERC-20) tokens which is easy to use and also easy to transfer.
