It is prevalent in Nigeria and other part of Africa for parents or family members and even the next door neighbour to either use his own child or other children to do money ritual. What is the joy of being known as a rich person if your own family or the society cannot benefit from your wealth? are they ignorant of the consequences or is their conscience dead?

money rituals are not actually where someone just randomly kills their kid and gets rich..

money rituals are done by 'herbalists' (medicine men) or voodo witches. who task a family to gather weird ingredients which normal families cannot get themselves so they end up buying the ingredient from the witchdoctor.

its the witchdoctor who gets rich from it.

the ritual is not about making the family rich its about solving their problem/wish. for instance harming an enemy, healing a wound, wishing luck on a relative to have a good life.

the spin on it then becomes that the family cotton on to the idea and suddenly they become medicine men offering their services. and in sometimes they threaten that a kid needs to be sacrificed or pay up $$ to use a safer ingredient.

its not actually about killing kids. its about a way to make money through making others pay to have their wish met by tasking them with an ingredient list thats not easy to do yourself at home..

. and yes.. some sick ass's do go to the extreme of harming the child if the family dont pay up/fall for scam

'pay me $5 and ill give you a secret that will make you $500+'
and when you pay
'tell 100 people to pay you $5 for your secret' - thats the secret

obviously not all 100 would sucker into the scam. so usually extra motivation is needed

I don't think anyone could possibly pressure her kid to use it for money Because no one can kill his own child for wealth It may just be a ritual where magic is used It was formerly used in traditional society but now the era has changed. You can say it as a means of earning money but no to kill.

I can't speak on another's culture but I believe life, society and culture tend to work differently and wildly varies depending on which part of Africa your talking about. For the most part people are doing rituals as apart of their traditions, perhaps some go and visit a local village medicine man, while others practice the magick themselves. In some parts of the world, the occult is woven into the very fabric of basic religion, so morals, principles, and ethics in one place could greatly differ from another.
   The money ritual is most likely a belief that if they follow a certain list of steps in succession, then they will attain their desire from the spirit/deity/universe that they seek and ask for assistance. This might even involve some form of harm to another, regardless of it being done to family or not. It is believed in many African traditions that the gods don't care what humans do here on earth, as long as they get their cut of the money, whether it involves a sacrifice, contract, etc.
  Many don't believe in magick, rightfully so, as science does take a lot of the woo out of the seemingly magical. The occult world should never be underestimated though, what may seem like magick to some could be considered as a high science to others, those with the ears to hear will hear!

Well, whatever they're doing there to get money i can't really judge them because the way of living there is just so hard. In most third world country's people are exploited and oppressed by their government and conglomerates. I even saw a photo of a child lying on the dirt was about to die and a volture waiting not so far away.

If ever god exist, i think its about time he saves his creation/children.

dont just auto-believe an image.
.. the cameraman was there so could have aided the child.

many video/photo footage presented by oxfam/unicef and red cross paint a picture through a filter. their end goal is to tug on heart strings to get people to pay them so that the CEO of the not for profit can take home $1m a year salary.

i personally have travelled around africa and seen a clearer picture and understanding than any 'charity advert' could ever portray

but the reality is that the area has been ordered that no one can build houses nearer to the water source and actually moved people out of the area. and told they cannot be within 15 miles of a city due to the image it would look like to have a slum near a modern city.

the logic is. if people did live 5-10 miles away from water... they would simply move near water.. but they CANT.
the logic is. if the water they can get is dirty. then move upstream to cleaner water.. but wait. THEY CANT.

they are forced to live downstream from city/agriculture thus end up drinking dirty water

these agencies making water wells and such were originally prompted to do so due to actions of their own causing when industrialist bought and built up towns and cities and evicted the undesireables. which then lead to them appealing to the world to help fund their compensations to africa

i say all this and went on this tangeant because many people are preyed apon and end up thinking that the only salvation is to try the most nastiest things and be pulled into scams. which is where we get the 'nigerian prince' scams and the voodoo doctors that say some secret ingrediant is needed(pay for it) or a child has to be sacrificed.. forcing people to pay money.. (though a few dumb people cant/wont pay and a kid now and again does get harmed(scammer has to keep the scam realistic if they want to keep scam active))
and yes some families put on their old worn out clothes and put on a sad smile with a few tears for picture days in exchange for a few weeks of food.

with all this said. yes there are nasty people and yes their are victims. but its worth atleast exploring what actually goes on in a country by visiting it rather than just believing media's portrayal of things. as media has been known to exaggerate

money ritual is about voodoo magic ritual where the end result meant to promise a person will get rich. where in some cases the ingrediant required for the spell is a blood sacrifice of an animal or child.

the reality is not as just described as most of the time a chicken is sacrificed or just a few drops of blood are used by naive people doing it themselves. only the crazy go full murder ritualistic

the goal/ploy of it originates as a scam performed by voodoo witches getting paid to perform fake spells using threats of sacrifice or bad luck if they dont pay

a more tame version of the scam is scientology where followers meant to buy books and follow demands for a promise of life enrichment. purely to make scientologist elitists rich

its just voodoo scam

the actual cases of actual child sacrifice is super low. and only done by the most desparate scam artists trying to con families. the majority of the ritual is just the threat of sacrifice to sway families into paying money instead of other ingrediants.

so dont think the ritual is some standard child sacrifice thing thats rampant in africa. its just a scam using threat of child sacrifice

Same here. I have never heard of anybody doing voodoo magic. The only voodoo we in Europe believe in is Christianity
I have a friend from Cuba who believes in these things, leaves food for the spirits and all that, but she doesn't go beyond superstition. The only time I saw people bathing in chicken blood and all that was in the movies.
