Please reconsider ban on my main profile

When I login, I see " Sorry saupon, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum. "

Is this ban temporary or permanent ? I had 5-6 posts and they were deleted I guess. I am a new member here but I do not think I broke any rule here. Please have a look.

You've earned 7 Merit points, 2 of which you got from theymos. I can't find what you posted, but I guess it was plagiarism, which is typically what happened when a banned user claims he didn't do anything wrong.

Update: Unless your ban was a mistake, in which case you can be unbanned. I'm curious: what did you post that earned you 7 Merit?

Could it be that your posts were in a megathread and highly unsubstantial? I doubt that having 6 or 7 of those posts are bannable offenses, but if it wasn't plagiarism, then I don't know what else it could be. Did you post referral links? Considering that your profile was just a couple days old, I wouldn't stress too much about it.

They certainly do.  I'm also surprised this account got so many merits, but I think it was just a fluke.  I have no other way of understanding how he got them for such a low-value post, especially from Theymos.  Maybe he was being extremely generous that day.

Don't rule out plagiarism just yet.  Let's wait for a mod to stop by and explain this.

I get that it was appropriate.  I just don't think it deserved as much merit as it got.

I have not posted any link (so referral link is out of question). Is it possible for the staff to see the reason for ban of my account (in case that is logged by the mod issuing the ban) ?

If I had done some minor mistake, it was not intentional. I am very new here.

This post will more than likely be seen by a staff member that can answer your question. They peruse this board quite frequently, so sit tight and you should have an answer soon. To answer your question, global mods are able to see the reason why you were banned.

It is looking low value because you are looking only at the response. If you read that thread then it was a perfect sarcastic reply to the OP of that thread.
