Hi All

I have about x15 S9's and have run them for years BUT i am having a problem with a 13.5Th one...

It runs for 2 or 3 mins, all temps perfect, fan speeds OK, no dodgy boards/chips. (temps in the med/high 70's)

The speed just goes to 0Gh ??

I have tried rebooting, i also reflashed the auto Freq FW and also i have tried the 600Mhz fixed FW...But it still just stops after 2/3 mins ??

I have also tried DHCP....

Anyone got any ideas, its only 2 months old.

Thanks in advance for any reply... Huh Huh Huh

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Can you post your kernel logs here or copy-paste it to https://pastebin.com and put it here.

Sometimes the problem is a fan so if one of your fans is damaged the miner will work for a while then stop.

You can try to replace the fan cable or replace it with a new working fan, but first, troubleshoot the problem which fan is damaged if it's the intake or the exhaust fan.

I've replaced 40 odd fan's over the years....It's not that.

It's running on 2 Boards AND the disconnected board id no.6/No3/No.3 from opposite the PCB supply

It has NEVER shown high temps, never had a problem BUT why now ?
I will post a log, there MUST be some analogy there ?

Cheers

I can not find any error or failure in the kernel log and I can not find the BMminer and Hardware version.

Can you add more details and screenshot of the miner status and overview here.

Overview sample:
Code:
Miner Type: Antminer S9-14.0T
Hardware Version: 16.8.1.2
Kernel Version: Linux 3.15.0-xilinx-ge8a2f71-dirty #82 SMP PREEMPT Tue May 16 19:49:53 CST 2017
File System Version: Mon Nov 6 17:17:48 CST 2017
Logic Version: S9_V1.47
BMminer Version: 2.0.0
Controller Board Version: 1.20

It looks fine but have you tried the other firmware? How about the latest one (Antminer-S9-all-201705031918-550M-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz)?

Tried them all....Still no joy, i put the third card in another S9 and and it works fine ?? All the fixed FW's allow to to alter the freq anyway..lol eg 500, 600 or 650...

Try running one hashboard at a time and see if the issue still occurs with each one. Could also be a power issue, have you tried another psu?

Ignore scammers on Skype, Telegram, etc. I will only ever contact you via forum PMs. See profile for fingerprint.
