I personally stick with the biggest ones and also the most reliable. So typically Bittrex, Binance, and kucoin.

I think I would add Coinbase to that list for me

There are many exchanges in this market as many and many coins are coming to this market on a regular basis. Generally I pick the exchange which is very big in transaction, old, reputed and reliable like binance, bitterx etc.

It will be better to stick to the big and reliable ones so that we won't have to face issues, and worse, scams. Binance is the most trusted one out there.

I have been using CoinBase and Binance since the start and I don't feel the need to switch because they are reliable, user friendly and offers up to date information. Moreover, recently CoinBase is trying to add more coins to their database which will be available for trading later.

There are so many options available on the market for you to trade. The most reliable options now are coinbase, kucoin, bitret, binane ... In that coinbase is the choice that I most fancy.

I always prefer the giant exchanges. Because they are more reliable. I know lots of new exchanges has come to the market but still they will need time before gaining trust.

When trading for altcoins I go to mercatox and Coinex. I don't let my crypto sit there more than 24hours. Been using this two for long time and have no problem with deposits and withdrawal. I'm always able to receive my crypto in less than 6hours max.
As for swing trading, I only use Binance. Feedback is good, they have 2FA, have good customer service, low fees with bnb and not much issues about the exchange like bugs, hackers etc.

Reality is the only thing that is real.

Bitstamp is pretty cool among the exchanges in the list. But i think they should add more crypto coins into their list. And their UI should be improved.

Binance is my preferred exchange as I don't usually exchange cryptos for fiat rather I opt for fiat to fiat exchanges which are mostly ALTs to BTC conversion. Moreover, Binance's own coin BNB is my favorite which is why I consider myself a loyal customer of Binance.

After the recent announcement by Coinbase of adding more new coins on their platform I won't be leaving them for a long time. I used to like Gemini and Bitmex before but Coinbase's interface and updated information made me so interested that I had to switch.

I have a mix of centralized and decentralized exchanges in my exchange list, because I think some use cases necessitates some privacy and that is what some of these centralized exchanges lack. I had a run in with Coinbase over some gambling that I had done, so now I use other exchanges for my gambling use.

Their support also sucks, so I moved to some other exchanges with better support.  Wink

We try to stick with the anonymous bitcoin and altcoin exchanges, as the KYC/AML procedures in certain countries can be quite terrible.

Then there are the countries with different regulations, taxes or plans to ban crypto currencies. The more anonymity purchasers and traders of altcoins have, the better.

The article is very informative and nicely laid out so props for that. I noticed that the BitPanda exchange is missing from the list though. It was the first exchange I have used and I have had only positive experience with it. It's pretty popular in the EU and has a solid reputation. They also had PayPal exchange option back in the days before PayPal cut all ties with cryptos.

What do you guys think?? How do you pick your exchanges?

I use Google search to evaluate the crypto exchange I preferred, such as reviews, users/customers comments, and their experiences using the exchange. I also looking and/or searching if the crypto exchange is implementing KYC (know your customer) and AML (anti-money laundering) procedures, which are designed to reduce the risk of illegal or fraudulent activity by certifying customers' identity.
