If you want to support Sprouts Classic, please put this under your signature:

Code:
Sprouts Classic 2% Daily APR Interest, 730% a year[url]https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4834706.0[/url]

Wouldn't 1B become 1377B in 365 days with a 2% daily reward (compound).

Tradesatoshi trades only a few DOGE per day. Is there more info on a new exchange? Or something to gain attention for SPRTSC?

Sprouts was on BtcPop staking website also and CMC and websites alike. Maybe try listing there, or stake united or such websites?

Any nearby roadmap / white paper? or it is just an effort for short resurrection of the coin? A clear roadmap / white paper can help me to decide on investing and staking 500M coins for a year.

Hi guys,

All of a sudden my SPRTSC wallet gave a negative balance. It has been staking for more than a week without problems. There is a positive balance on the blockchain still.

The wallet was displaying the amount I have on the blockchain with a 'minus' in front of it. A bug in the wallet?

Then I tried to make a transfer and I got an error which forced the wallet to close and never open again.

I tried to do a new install of the wallet, but no luck so far. I get an error.
St13runtime_error.
CWallet::Getcredit() : value out of range

Result: I can't reach my balance of SPRTSC

I will try again tomorrow with older back-up file. But remains weird I had a negative balance all of a sudden.

Its a bit difficult to tell, but it could be that your wallet.dat file has a bad transaction.  The only way I know of fixing this, is to edit and remove the recent bad transaction using pywallet.  Here are some directions:

1. First of all, make sure that you have made several copies of your wallet.dat file and have placed them in other locations.

2. Make a copy of the wallet.dat file, and place it into an empty folder to start experimenting.

3. Use pywallet to edit the wallet.dat file.  The tool and descriptions on how to edit the file are here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=35214.0

4. Once you have removed your bad transaction, install the latest sprouts-classic wallet exe, and place your edited wallet.dat file into the data folder for the coin.

I can only guess as to how you have come to get that error, but it can occur if you try to transmit more than the MAX_MONEY, which is currently set at 100 billion.  Either you tried to transfer more than 100 billion, or maybe you were using the old version and tried to send more than 2 billion sprouts.

Hi Jennyblockchain,

I wanted to follow up with you to see if arcmetal's steps fixed your negative balance issue.

Is the amount that has the negative value a big value (i.e. greater than 10 billion)?

i think arcmetal is clear step. since new blockchain on after HF make loss or minus. so like usual recover used old bootstrap~

hi guys, need a bit of help here:

new classic wallet invalidated all transactions since September 10, and i reloaded entire chain with new wallet and it was stuck and not updating chain even though in conf file i added nodes and i had connections in qt.

used instructions on how to fix wallet, and now i have that exception: 11db exception not enough space. that's after i repaired wallet.  also after repair all stakes since sept 10 showed orphaned.

transactions from tradesatoshi went through, staking works.

is it ok to keep it like that with an error message or is there a further fix?

also, i have unconfirmed amount sitting there for about 10 days... please advise how to fix it.

last question: could any one confirm that 2 billions is not a limit anymore and it is safe to combine larger inputs. and if yes - what is good input size to produce a stake shortly after maturity?

for those asking if smaller amount like 70-80 mils will stake - yes, it may take very long time though.  i have an input of 77,7 mils sitting there for 117 days with a chance to stake of 39.98% within the next 24 hours.

thank you!

Click on the Console button
In the console type 'repairwallet' and hit the enter key
Close and re-open the Sprouts Classic wallet

Hi kondrat84,

Is the wallet fully synced?
Is the wallet address correct?
Are you able to provide a screenshot?

These are signs that your on the wrong chain.
(fixing this problem first might remove the other error)

The solution is to delete all of the files in the data directory (except wallet.dat), install the latest version from the OP, and re-sync.
So, be sure you have saved a copy of your current wallet.dat file, before trying anything.

Here is the sprouts.conf file I am using.  Try it and see if it connects to the right chain:

Code:
addnode=104.248.8.52
addnode=108.41.213.216
addnode=92.230.42.116
addnode=142.112.238.229
addnode=165.227.101.66
addnode=77.160.23.113
addnode=77.187.236.127
addnode=46.180.158.166
addnode=193.96.224.73
addnode=78.51.184.194
addnode=24.56.231.67
addnode=100.2.97.212
addnode=178.151.228.68
addnode=81.169.251.230
addnode=174.93.56.119
addnode=102.253.136.234
addnode=87.213.162.202
addnode=213.127.86.122
addnode=162.216.72.120
addnode=74.64.38.208
addnode=92.230.42.99
addnode=77.188.65.87
addnode=165.227.101.66
addnode=24.56.231.67
addnode=46.180.158.166
addnode=193.96.224.68
addnode=174.93.56.119

Concerning your last question about the 2 billion transaction limit.  Not only I, but you can confirm for yourself that its now set to 100 billion by looking at the code.  The link to the source code is in the OP.

Here is a snippet of the posted source code.  The file main.h, contains the lines that shows this:
Code:
...
//static const int64 MAX_MONEY = 2000000000 * COIN;
//The below variable increases the ability have a maximum of 100 billion Sprouts Classic coins in the wallet instead of the 2 billion.
static const int64 MAX_MONEY_2 = 100000000000 * COIN;
...

And, a few comments back DZPrince mentions that 500 million is a decent minimum for staking:

I join, and the question is, how many coins do I need in my wallet to receive POS. While I have 80 million

The minimum needed for staking is 500 million.

oh no.  I do hope that people realize that sprouts-classic can be gotten for a lot cheaper at Tradesatoshi's doge market.

On another note, sprouts-classic currently has the highest dogecoin trading volume in that market at Tradesatoshi.  Impressive.
