Cpu only algo is definitively a must have
Primecoin is a good choice i guess. Memorycoin already has a gpuminer
I agree 100%, that there should be a 100% CPU algo element - which way to go, I do not know...

As I have written before, I think memory requirements (RAM) should be considered - that would automatically also exclude botnets - if e.g. 1 thread needs 2 GB RAM (or 4 GB?) an average PC becomes unusable, so botnets would not work.

I don't agree.. I have a 3930K with 16GB ram. If it's 2GB per thread, i'll be limited to ~6 thread if i want to continue using my PC. I also have a dual xeon with 32 thread and 32GB memory.. same problem.

Maybe a huge memory allocation (~4 or 8 GB?) for the miner, no matter the number of thread used ?

I don't know nothing about programming, so i might say nonsenses..

We need more Qubit and Groestl pool.

Stablehash has a mandatory 1% donate on top of 3% fee and 0.1 TX fee for the only Groeslt pool

just change the donation thats what i do.

pls also add http://myr.nonce-pool.com/ as a qubit pool.

they qualify for the bounty as the 1st qubit pool.

Any Proof of Work algo should be possible with Myriad.

Most people seem to want a CPU-only algo. In effect a GPU is also a CPU, so there are very few algo's that cannot be ported to a GPU.

Groestl is about 6x faster on a high-end GPU than on a high-end CPU, so it is still CPU minable to a degree.

I'm open to adding a new algo if it brings in a significant new mining community to the coin.

if this coin is going for technical perfection, why not also add PoS, with a low holding period? PoS and PoW should co-exist, and PoW pools may also be used as PoS pools.

i am not sure if there is a difference between kgw and diff adjusting every block.

thanks.

Make a CPU-only algo and get ypool to add it, that would bring in a ton of new miners and buzz.

1. Add CPU algo (Primecoin or RieCoin), remove two GPU algos, we dont need duplicate algos, 1 ASIC, 1 GPU 1 CPU
2. Lower the block reward to 50

I guess coin should be 5 algos in any case, so I would suggest modifying 2 algos to make them CPU only, or at least try to.

CPU only, currently, XPM, MMC and RIC, otherwise you could have to find something new.

I think Adaptive N-factor is a new "scrypt" scrypt for future, and is a lot people with GPU cards, if Myriadcoin will have Adaptive N-factor gpu miners
will feel safe when they will be pointing own rigs to myr. Look at vertcoin or yesterday/today GPUcoin its great interest in this type of coins.
Pos for MYR + all actual + new type of algo?  Ill be mine for rest of my days Cheesy
