I bought a server psu today and will convert it to work with pci-e only.
How manny 280x can a 670watt psu power ?? 3 ??

I was not able to run 4 280x cards on a 1200watt thermaltake gold.  I was able to run 4x on a Rosewill Lightning 1300 gold.

So I would guess 2 unless you underclock them.

Not unless you drop the voltage to 1086 MV on each card. I mine at 1020/1500 Stable at 720KH+ at 1086 MV per card.
