Liquidity describes the degree to which an asset or cryptocurrency can be bought or sold in the market without affecting the asset's price. Low liquidity is often the cause of price volatility.  To increase liquidity, 70% of the pre-mine will be listed on an exchange (or exchanges) for new investors to purchase, the profits of which will be re-invested to create a ‘stepped defensive buy wall’.   The Ittrium team believe this strategy will minimize negative price volatility, thereby providing greater protecting to investors.

I‘ve created a figure that estimates the time it takes to stake a MN depending on your initial staking XIT amount.  For example, if you have 1250 XIT, it will take approximately 60 days to stake a MN (i.e. an additional 3750 XIT).   

Please note, it is impossible to actually predict the rate and uptake of MNs, so please ensure you do your own MN sensitivity analysis.  The dates outlined are only estimations, several assumptions have been made such as the percent of XIT locked in MN’s (i.e. 30%, excluding pre-mine).  This is particularly relevant as MN collateral is excluded from PoS rewards, so variation above and below 30% will decrease and increase estimated staking times, respectively.

The main reason why we think this is a better approach, is it allows Ittrium’s price to increase steadily, versus being stagnate for a period and then increasing sharply which is more prone to FOMO and FUD.

November 2018 Community Update

It’s been a busy few weeks so first up apologies for the lack of correspondence.  Moving forward I plan on releasing monthly community updates (towards the end of each month) of what we’ve achieved during the past month and goals for the following 4 weeks.  First of all, let’s recap. Welcome to the November 2018 Community Update

Development

Ittrium’s main development goal is ‘striving to be the most technically advanced privacy orientated cryptocurrency.’  In line with this goal, November sore the release of version 2.0.0 in which we implemented the ZeroCoin privacy protocol, a type of zero-knowledge proof.

A significant amount of effort went into this update, 396 files were edited, with over 37 thousand lines of code added.  Whilst extensive testing was conducted, it was disappointing to say the least, that a minor spork bug, essentially resulted in all nodes banning one another, causing the blockchain to temporarily pause.  Whilst we acknowledge this doesn’t inspire community confidence, with any update of this scale, minor bugs will likely remain.

Despite this minor stumble, the issue was quickly identified and version 2.0.1 was released shortly afterwards fixing the issue.  The team did not, and will never apologise for minor bugs such as the one encountered.  We value the importance of development, as so few crypto projects do any development at all.  In my opinion, it’s the easiest way to spot a scam coin, anyone considering investing in a new project should do GitHub due diligence at the very least.

Back to my point, there is only ONE way to be a completely bug free programmer, do not code at all!  Bugs are unavoidable because programmers are human, all we can do is try our best to prevent them, react quickly when a bug occurs, and learn from our mistakes.  Projects that don’t develop, will fall behind and fade into crypto-oblivion.  Ittrium will continuously develop, as such, we’ll undoubtably encounter bugs in the future.  Rest assured however, we are very confident that we can squish any unforeseen bugs that may arise within a timely manner.

We ask our community to be patient WHEN we encounter a bug in the future.  Also please refrain from posting negative comments during these periods, they only serve to create FUD, which is counterproductive to say the least.  If you come across any bugs please create a ticket in the #tech-support channel on our discord, NOT in #general.

This past month we have significantly improved our marketing capabilities with the aid of The CryptoCoin Man and Coinvasity. We now have over 750 Discord members and 400 on twitter and it’s growing day by day.   I’d like to thank them both for their contribution this month, they have aided Ittrium’s cause immensely.

That said, we recognise that we need to find innovative ways to attract investors, so I’m throwing out a challenge to our community, anyone that introduces a new member that actively takes part in the presale, will themselves received 10% of what’s purchased for free!  So be sure to spread Ittrium wide and far (without spamming people)!   Also, if anyone has any recommendations be they website listing, forums, advertising, promoters and/or influences please let one of the team know.

Lastly, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Coinvasity again and wish him success in future crypto endeavours, as his time promoting Itrrium has regrettably come to an end.

I can't really speak for the Core Team, but in my opinion small & easy exchanges often offer some nice nests for exit-scams...A Team has to be very careful with their choice of exchanges.

Bisq has unfortunately rejected our coin, because they saif it looked too much like an "ICO".

Which is absolutely not the case, but no need to discuss that with them, as they admitted not to have legal experts onboard... so it's just about their guts

Don't worry though, we're bouncing and we found a very nice little and quite new exchange, that will be the perfect platform for testing the defensive buy wall strategy

We'll keep you all in touch, this exchange is doing a big update right now so don't expect anything before a few days.

When do you expect the coin to be listed to an exchange?  I am sad that it was denied an opportunity to be listed on Bisq exchange, but I feel like there has to be an opportunity to get listed on another exchange to continue the vision of this coin.  This will hopefully spark the needed fire within the community.

No it is not the activity now that will be the basis on ranking up. It is all about the merit system. Jr. member could post images here and to be able to reach a jr. member you need to acquired at least one merit.

Anyway, the project has a good concept. If this is being implemented then I guess it is very useful thinking about the POS and the liquidity for the project. For all we know that this is how the market work buying and selling crypto for short it is called as trading. So a good platform like this project will be suitable for a trader or even a coin that is used in payment like ETH, BTC and other strong crypto.

As a former discord community manager for this project, I feel obliged to alert everyone concerned.
We have had no contact with Drew (MiniSquirrel), aka the lead Dev of the project, for lots of weeks already, and the chain started to have big issues (impossible to sync fully), issues that were supposed to be fixed by MiniSquirrel...
So I decided to announce about that in the Ittrium discord, to let everyone know of what was going on exactly, mentioning that we were mostly worried about MiniSquirrel's health, because that didn't look like him to disappear that way.
Today morning I realise that I'm banned from the Ittrium discord, which seems to be a definitive proof that MiniSquirrel made some sort of stupid "exit-scam".

Fortunately, the "only" funds he exited with were the funds invested by the only member who participated in the pre-sales (NodeRunner). Unfortunately too, because NodeRunner didn't get the respectful behavior he could expect, after being the first and only one to trust the team. NodeRunner noticed that the BTC wallet where he sent his investment coins got emptied recently, so that's another proof that the guy disappeared with the funds.

It was not a very big amount (0.3 BTC), but it's no less disgusting.

I'm sad and sorry for all those who gave time and energy to support that project (including myself...)

As a manager towards this project, I would also like to echo my concerns and apologies for the way XIT has ended. Unfortunately, it appears our head honcho may have left with the funds - as suggested above. We have no alternative means of contact and there's no way of fixing or continuing on with Ittrium.
