I think you haven't really understood them these two news are totally different. Where; one of them is about Starbucks accepting Bitcoin as payment and another is about Starbuck and Microsoft partnering up with ICE to create an ecosystem for cryptocurrencies and the latter is true and verified already.

The denial could have been a unanimous decision by the company due to some external factors. But there are contradicting news as well that this company did make its cut in the ICO. So without any authentic source for verification; no further comments can be made to avoid misunderstandings.

This news seems fake because up until recently we were made aware that Starbucks is going to be accepting payments in BTC. Plus the company's name was enlisted in the ICO.

I think there can be many reasons for such denial. The rejection can have an impact on this or it can be due to their board decision. So without knowing the truth; we should not spread our own opinions as this makes the people confuse.

We all know what media does nowadays! They exaggerate any news they find to get attention from the readers. My opinion about on Starbucks denial of Partnership for Bakkt Proposed Project is that media made it exaggerated just like they always do. I searched through Google and come to understand this that there was not exactly a denial of partnership; but what they did was deny those exaggerated news which was created by the media. I hope you don't misunderstand the entire topic.
