NO, absolutely do not increase the supply any further, and definitely not 500m that will make all coins near worthless, not to mention the attacker can just dump his remaining coins
i suggested this a few pages back. I propose a solution similar to asiacoin
Figure out the attacker's wallet. invalidate the attacker's coins (prevent him from trading in for the new coins).
This will leave us with a surplus of 28m coins or whatever. Convert all 60m coins into a new coin (with the same total supply) then redistribute the amount of coins that the attacker held to the community and those who took a loss. or keep some to fund the game development, I'm not sure how the logistics of redistributing coins to hundreds of people will work out.
also make the top wallet list transparent so whoever tries this again will be taking a huge risk
whatever the solution is, it cannot benefit the attacker or they will do this again

Surely there is no way there will still be a wallet with 28m in it. Whoever did this must have spread them around now.

Dam....thinkin of it now this person really put their balls in their hands and had to of spent a ton of money to acqire those coins....
Tighten the screws on them.....start new coin redistribute percentage wise to all accounts except his...voila they lose all that money and shows you guys arent fuking around.
If coin has new name...shouldnt be a big deal. Game is not out as of yet and could transfer all project names into new name....long term if you guys are legit (which i believe) this will be a blip on the foundation...you guys come out of this again it will show you will not fold up when things get tough..
On a personal note must be tough to deal with on top of life itself..props
Anyone with thoughts?

I didnt know that was possible. I will look into it now. What stops him/her from sending to a different wallet?

still there. devs, do it quickly. we are running out of time figure out a way to invalidate that wallet, and fairly redistribute by airdrop or something like that. reimburse the exchange from our reserve. and let us know the solution. we want our investment safe and worthy as before.

FFS.. Just been catching up
Considering going to 500 million is insane
We have already beaten this issue once we can do it again. The fact there are hundreds of utter joke coins out there getting no attention from some twat who wants to try and get rich quick only proves the potential value in this project
I have followed from day one, I have been buying up untill yesterday.
If this can be overcome by a re-issue then so be it..

It is very tough....I was in a very important meeting when I heard about this. I had to sit through the meeting with it on my mind. Pretty rough.

The idea about increasing supply and holding most in public account is a very bad idea for two reasons. First like others stated it would seriously hurt the price. Second, considering the crypto scene, no one, including me would trust devs to hold on to that amount, the maybe factor would be enough to keep most investors away.
How do people know this guys still has the stolen coins, he was doing it for a days so smart money would be he dumped them right away. But it is known that those coins were not dumped then I agree steps should be taken to invalidate them... But redoing thsi for a 3rd time will be horrible form a perception point of view.

Is there a quick way to disable the network. Prevent transfers from all wallets across the board until something can be done?

And we all know that isnt going to happen. I am waiting to here back from Mintpal. If we are lucky they may have "locked up" all his coins and then we are fine. Lets hope that is the case.

Whatever we do....top. address list (rich list) needs to be easily seen by all. So we can all see when a wallet looks like it might be suspect...too much accumulation. Not good for a coin anyway.

I would fork blackcoin, have the community revote for a new name, set a low rate of inflation (1% - 5%), mine 60 million coins, redistribute those coins over a month period to people to can prove ownership of coin2, all the while working on the game.
No need to get crazy and inflate the supply.
