That is a clever technique from this guys. Next time, be careful with other sites. I think you can use cryptsy such services which provide good service.

I was in a similar situation, when I sent some money to hitbtc, it hit my account on the 4th day only!

I was really mad and asked them to send it back. They sent it to me at once.

So it looks like they are just slow sometimes, not stealing.

I feel it's still safer to trade at larger exchanges though

Dear Participants,

We are very sorry that the refunding process sometimes takes longer than one would expect. However we are working hard on improving this situation. Due to a technical glitch, a user was unable to withdraw his funds. In view of the problems encountered by MtGox (please, refer to the article for details http://www.coindesk.com/massive-concerted-attack-launched-bitcoin-exchanges/), we manually double-check all refund requests.

We have identified and fixed the above mentioned glitch (support answered to the client on February, 24). Moreover, we have added additional members to our support team to handle these situations more efficiently, should they ever occur again.
Occurred problems can be discussed in our official thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=378827).

We would like to reassure you once again, that our technologies are among the best in their class when compared with any competing exchange. All our developers have worked on mass-scale projects such redesigning the core architecture of stock exchanges (notably NYSE and LSE) and LP back-ends.

Once again, our apologies,

The hitbtc team.

Beware people, stay away.  I lost 700 eur.  Don't trust.

Can you explain how you lost the 700eur please ?
Is it recent.
I have sent funds twice which took 5 days , withdrawn lots of times over the last 2 weeks ,initially my withdrawals were intermitant some were immediate and others failed but all my recent withdrawals were instant .
Would be grateful to hear your experience and if you have yet received your 700eur ,I personally could not afford to lose that amount .

To be fair I have to say that the problem was solved today. I can not blame hitBTC regarding this transaction even if it seems a bit suspicious.

Thank you for your support.

Why should someone vouch for a website? Who can be that "someone"? Smiley

Warning about hitbtc
Hitbtc stole 130,000 usd from me , this site is controlled by the usa/satanic "Govt"
Hitbtc is a shell company that was formed by FBI lawyers, they are spying on the movement of digital currency and robbing money from users.Their support uses aliases and they hide their location. But 4 years stealing and scamming and nothing happens. It is the FBI just like localbitcoins, com is controlled by the FBI
