that certainly cant be spinned as something positive. And will certainly cause a lot of panic and rumors until there is some clarification as to why that was done.
Moving offices (some say its a virtual office only, others say they still have a real office just their public listing is virtual) , continued delays on promises of resuming withdrawal, resigning from the foundation, deleting twitter feed................... not good signs at all. cant say im suprised though.

I think a lot of people would be really happy to ignore Gox if wasn't for the fact that they have been waiting and extremely long time already to get out of Gox. So easy for people to say this when they have not been waiting months and months to try and get their US dollars out.
I'm not one of those people I might add.

Man, I really wanted to think people were being too cynical about Gox, but with their offices moving, ignoring customers, and now this...it really does seem like they're planning to run away with people's bitcoins. I'm REALLY glad they didn't approve my account verification last year when I was just getting into bitcoin.

This. Tomorrow there will be an announcement that Mt. Gox is insolvent and disbanding. All bitcoins were lost due to a bug in bitcoin software. In about three weeks another exchange will rise up in Japan to fill its void. It will be a stealth startup that nobody has heard of made up of anonymous veterans of the Bitcoin community and already funded by anonymous Angel investors in the amount of several thousand bitcoins.

Yeah, what the hell are they playing at? They seem to be doing everything they can to cause panic and confusion. Yep, It's like gox are doing the completely opposite of what they should be doing. It seems like their business plan. It's clearly a bug with Twitter... Everything will work again when Twitter fixes the problem...
I'm not so sure. No one else has a bug on their twitter. I think he was making a joke.

So the process of erasing as much 'evidence' that could be used against them as possible has started

I think Mark just ran a really incompetent business and also got fucked by other restrictions and laws etc.

Yeah, what the hell are they playing at? They seem to be doing everything they can to cause panic and confusion. Yep, It's like gox are doing the completely opposite of what they should be doing. If Mt. Gox's objective is to get the value down under $100 in order to revive "their market" (the Mt Gox btc) but people keep supplying work-arounds, and positive glimmors of light (leak about withdrawal testing) which keep increasing their values then they must do what they can to push it back down. If they are solvent at $100 or less per real btc , but insolvent at $200 or more per real btc then their actions no longer look stupid. If gox somehow fix this mess, we will see bitcoin rocket. But it sucks that one exchange has such a massive impact over bitcoin. Don't think so. If people are able to withdraw BTC from gox they will immediately sell their goxcoins on other exchanges, bringing average BTC price down.
