I don't think we can call it greed per se, knowing that there are no certain restrictions for the people in politics to invest in whatever they think will give them profit. After all, they're just people wanting to live a better life like all of us here. If anything, these people are slowly adopting into cryptocurrency and, hopefully, establish some laws which protect the interest of consumers/investors in the cryptoworld. Also, they might, finally, come up with a rather friendly definition of crypto for the benefit of all. I don't see anything wrong in here, TBH, not unless those cryptocurrencies were earned through some form of fraud etc.

Cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin is now one of the most profitable things you can find. From my opinion that's why governments are trying to apply regulations on it.

That is why we need regulations in crypto, That's the only and probably the best solution.

This news is about a personal possession of BTC. Not clear evidence that crypto is being monitored by government. Still we are on the stand; say no to government monitored crypto.

The whole scenario mystified me. The proper statute will help out and can take to the right path. Though I'm assuming the awful out come for the crypto.

It’s a biggest problem which are adjacent with bitcoin. Perhaps bitcoin is decentralized it’s not free from hack and hijacking. I hope BTC will rid of this problem in future with a sustainable technology.

The potential cryptocurrencies in the market nowadays being owned by many big personalities. Goodlatte has approximately $17000-$80000 cryptocurrencies. Day by day, people are stepping forward towards adopting cryptocurrency more.

Yeah thats true. Now we can not relate these things with the greed just because those people are from the government work force. They have the same rights as you are having and they can invest in the decentralised system like crypto currency freely and with whatever intention they have. They can hold it, they can sell it and they can have as much as they want. To be frank this can actually lead to good regulations which may help us fight against anti-bitcoin stuff. Because these people will try to make things simpler for themselves and thus in return it will be easier for us too.

The government is not or hasn't been involved in any sort of activities like this. If you have the source or links to this news, then please provide it here. Otherwise it will be counted as a rumor.

I really don't think that the government can get involved with piracy. You really maintain a very unpleasant mentality about these kinds of things and this will create problems to find real criminals. The government should be able to help legalize the circulation of bitcoin widely.

Governmenters or congressmen moving toward cryptocurrencies is not a new news to me, as it has been disclosed in many places. BTC is a hot cake, as well as many altcoins, are also. Govt. people are also people and every people would dire to own cryptocurrency as it has a better future and cryptos are a safer place for holding resources.

Nobody said that Bitcoin was exclusively for non-government employees. If they want to own Crypto currencies, then let them

own it. The government must just know about it for tax purposes and to know if these employees are not involved in some

kind of corruption where Crypto currencies are used to hide these practices. I have to issues with them also owning Crypto

currencies, because that will improve Bitcoin's chances to be accepted in the hallways of these governments.  Grin

Hahaha. Your words though. You are sounding to bitter and I understand what you mean but you must understand that it's not only the government that keeps on hijacking the price of Bitcoin but also some investors who invested in it. I am not trying to support the govt actions but know that a panic sell from investors whenever they see the price of Bitcoin also contributes to the price of the coin going down.

I understand that you are very unhappy about government behavior towards bitcoin but I don't think you should consider it like these cause a country government never get involved with this kinds of things that is why I will suggest that it is better not to get influence by this kinds of fake rumors

Bitcoin is the most profitable and popular. It controls the crypto market. So it would be very normal for miscreants to always try to hijack it. But it is sad for us. I think it will be okay very soon. But we have to be aware of it.

I don't think no government means better world, I would just vouch for different governments than we know now. More decentralized and transparent so corruption is limited
