I haven't reviewed all the updates to this thread, but am I correct in noting that there have been a lot more members ranking up each time?  I do recall several updates where there were only a handful of members who'd ranked up, and this time it seems like there are more than usual.

That's right, finally every month we can see an increase in the names that rank up. when compared to last year, we can only see 3 or 5 names that rise in the rankings every month. but now we can see more names being promoted to the new rankings.

This good situation cannot be separated from people like you. merit sources and people who are beginning to understand how to use the merit system well.
I hope there will be more names in the next month to be published in this thread.

There is a change in the mindset of some bounty hunters who are currently starting to think that the results obtained in bounties are not worth the time. They started targeting bitcoin paid signature campaigns that forced them to post something of higher quality and earn merit. I don't think they all really improve the quality of their posts and understand the merit system well because some of them can also stop paying attention to the quality of their posts once they are in the campaign. Their merit stats stop somewhere after their target is reached.

But I'm not saying all bounty hunters have this mindset, just a little because some of them will still try to maintain the quality of their posts until they rank up. It all depends on what their real purpose is, so I don't think I'm the only one paying attention to that.

Yes, there are high hopes for that because I think some merit sources are starting to provide a lot of convenience for users.

Most of them try to earn their merits by posting spam posts on their local board and some even brought accounts from account sellers. Recently spam posts have increased significantly in the local threads for merits and as you stated many of their stats stop after a certain amount of merits have been earned.

Their target is to earn merits for rank-up so that they can join the signature paid campaign. The main purpose of contributing to the forum is missing here so I doubt what level of motivation they have to improve their post quality.

I'm still sure not all members who have been helped to rank up in the last few months have that thought.
you can see that most of those who use BTC payment signatures are members who are indeed active and have contributed to the forum. either on the local board or not.

those who stop after ranking up did exist. but we can't judge them to keep accumulating merit. This system gives freedom to all members. want to continue to grow or stay in place. no one will mind that.

The main purpose of contributing to the forum is missing here so I doubt what level of motivation they have to improve their post quality.

I hope your words are not for yourself. you will also rank up soon, hopefully, you still have the motivation to continue to contribute to the forum

I just looked at the chart pictured on the front page of this thread. The lines of the graph are still keeping their directions almost unchanged, so I can't say that there are currently more new members rank up each month. Users are receiving merits with a trend that seems to be fairly stable over the years. Maybe I need to update this thread more often.

Nah, you're doing great--all of your updates are greatly appreciated, and they're what I look to when I'm trying to gauge how the merit system is working.  I hadn't looked at that graph on the first page in a long time but did so now; I can't tell if the slopes of any of those lines have increased, but it sort of looks like it (or maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part).

In any case, congrats to everyone who ranked up!  I see a lot of familiar usernames this time around, and a lot of deserving ones at that.  Yay merit system!!  Four+ years and going strong.  Who'd have thought Theymos's experiment would have worked out this well, eh?

Lol, on what basis do you assume that. Most users have high loyalty even though they have managed to rank up many times from the lowest to the highest rank. Their main goal is not just to join Btc paid campaigns, they consistently maintain the quality of posts and never get tired of motivating other users who are still in low ranks even though they have been accepted in Btc paid campaigns.

I don't know what your target is like here, but I have learned a lot from those who have managed to get more merit from their activities and their ranking is still below the amount of merit they have earned.

It's been two months since the previous report, yet only four new names entered 2000 merits reign. This threshold is a great challenge for all users, as only 104 users (from ~3.5M) have reached it so far, in five years since merit system was implemented. It is not really a mistake, i think due to the large number of members that have recently ranked up to Sr member or received the required number of merits and then waiting for their activities to go up, Coin-1 didn't make separate write-up for them. You are not the only one mentioned in that list who hasn't yet been promoted to Sr member, but all of you have received 250 merits and above, so if all continue to post and don't get banned, they will all be promoted to Sr member.
