Are you a millionaire?
Cred to you for actually taking action rather than giving just giving half-bad advices on how to earn it, +1.

Huh? Have you used a profit calculator?
They usually include energy consumption, and unless you live in a 3rd world country
or you have the worst electricity deal of -all time-, your profits good enough hardware
should cover the small amount of extra electricity it drains. If you basically just save
electricity by being smart and turning of electronics, unplugging charger cables etc you
save as much as the average person wastes, and that should cover the cost of the mining.

I do exactly that and also my PC is always on mining or not, so it's only like an extra 100 watts or so...it also heats my room which saves spending money on gas.

Yup yup. All it requires for it to be profitable is some economical thinking and a profit to cost calculation.
Glad you're making it work Smiley

Id like to see a calculation with any single GPU that can break even or make profit.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison

So you get 375 Mh/s and the PC needs 200? 250 Watts?

Lets say 80 and lets also say you pay 0.05$ per kWh (I pay .25 € per kWh just to put that into perspective)

http://tpbitcalc.appspot.com/?difficulty=3129573174.5223&hashrate=375.00&exchangerate=500.00&bitcoinsperblock=25.00&rigcost=100.00&powerconsumption=80.00&powercost=0.05&investmentperiod=355

break even? never, and I assumed you somehow got that system for 100$

Lets double the hashrate, just for fun.

http://tpbitcalc.appspot.com/?difficulty=3129573174.5223&hashrate=750.00&exchangerate=500.00&bitcoinsperblock=25.00&rigcost=100.00&powerconsumption=80.00&powercost=0.05&investmentperiod=355

nope never...

ok lets double again 1.5 GHash/s with your single GPU System that only eats 80 Watts, wet dreams right?

http://tpbitcalc.appspot.com/?difficulty=3129573174.5223&hashrate=1500.00&exchangerate=500.00&bitcoinsperblock=25.00&rigcost=100.00&powerconsumption=80.00&powercost=0.05&investmentperiod=355

4077 days... to break even, to break even on a 100$ investment.

Please show me where I am wrong and this is still very much profitable if you are not living with your parents and they pay for your system and your electricity bill. On the other hand if you are supported by your parents they should just buy you btc.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

check out the free bitcoins thread, we have a couple of them..

there is a lot of faucets and PTCs there, as 1$ isn't a lot of bitcoins you should earn it without too much time Cheesy
you'll get lucky in one faucet and get a higher prize I guess Cheesy

Haha nono, I guess none of us were clear enough on what we meant.
I think looking for a new gpu was unrelated to the actual mining itself and it's profitability Smiley

do a business:

there is thread where you can earn 0.01 BTC but you must posses at least 0.0101 BTC. (just send 0.01 and earn 0.02)
add 5$ to your piratcoin.me (btc) acc and get bonus 5$ ( 5.000$ limit) 1000 user

find someone who lend you 0.01 (or more to pay fee), get that bonus, repay let say 0.015 BTC, earn your 0.002
