I was buying prepaid mobile cards using bitcoins for a short while.  

I posted a gig on gigs.witcoin.com with more info.  From what I understand how it works is that anyone motivated enough to jump through whatever hoops they have can earn points and convert those points into prepaid mobile cards.  Those cards can then, in turn, be traded for bitcoins here on this Marketpalce subforum or on #bitcoin-otc
