I sent my faircoins to the exchange listed here. It ate them. They never arrived, and I never got them back. I did give their CS all the info from the transaction. I was told I am costing them money by making their CS respond to me over a bit of coin, and to stop.

and try deleting your peers.dat file.  That might also help
