I believe ethereum is very good for long investment, you can start buying it at the lowest point.
If you still doubt it, you can start by dividing your capital for some pretty good coins and ethereum.

For me this is the best time to buy more and hold  4th quarter of the year 2018 is approaching and im pretty sure that Ethereum will bounce back and return to its all time high. soon

Why do you consider it as the worst time for ETH ? If you would be a ether believer then you must be happy that you have got a great opportunity to buy ether such a low price. I am pretty sure ether will do so much better in the long term just as BTC is doing now. So buying ether now at a price of $300 is the best deal one could get right now. Even if we think of selling it at its ATH at $1500 it will be whopping 5 times the initial amount.
